Anyone know what's happened to Tony McGee & New Covenant? I just looked and their website is still showing March 2008's dates on it. Also didn't see them at NQC.

They were at a local church here in the Atlanta area the end of October. Tony wasn't with the group, and a guy named Damon was singing in his place. (I think Damon sings with Kyla Rowland & Deliverance sometimes.) Karen & Shane said that Tony had been very sick and had only worked about 4 dates in the last several months.
A week or so later, we went to the second night of The Greesons Homecoming, and an old friend from Ohio was telling me that TMcG had ridden down with The Primitives the night before, and that he looked like he was in really bad shape.
As for their website, well, it's never ever been really kept up to date. I'd say that Shane & Karen & Randy will probably keep traveling if they can find a permanent singer, should Tony not be able to return to the road. They are a really great group!

Yeah, I meant to mention that earlier. Seems like that's the best way to keep track of them, lately. Was Damon singing with them when you saw them, 3part?

I have talked with Tony several times on the phone ordering things from them. I am very sorry to hear that he isn't doing so well. He is such a witty guy. LOL I hope he does better. Will be praying for that.

I have known Tony for roughly 30 years. I have been told his health is pretty bad, I also know his father (minister for probably 50 years) was in really bad shape, close to the point of death more than once in the past year. I looked at the photos of Tony on the MySpace page and it brought tears to my eyes, he looks nothing like the Tony I remembered from only a few years ago.
Tony traveled with his family group for probably20 years, then joined the group "Redeemed" (not Squire Parsons & Redeemed) then formed his current group. It's terrible he isn't able to sing now (evidently) I know how much he loves gospel music. Everyone remember him, his father and the group in your prayers.
