I guess saving the tress was not as important to them as they would have us believe. Oh well the shallowness of liberals never fails to amaze me. Thanks RC

Hmm. 21 months of sitting in a tree protesting at Berkeley. How many credit hours did they get for that?

My understanding is that many aren't current students just kids with well-to-do, enabler parents.

How could any of them have been students? My understanding is - even at UC Berkeley - you have to attend class every now and then. And I wouldn't have bothered with building scaffolding to get to them to bring them down. A fire hose would have done the job a lot better.

It's just that given the general ideals of Berkeley, surely they would think that protesting for 21 months straight should be worth at least a little college credit. ;)
