I just got me the Bible on cd. I love it.. I seem to be able to retain a little more.. My attention span is very short, so while reading my mind tends to wander off.. I love riding down the road and listening. It keeps me in the word more.. Does anybody else have the Bible on cd?

I have both also.

It's been a while since I've used either due to opportunity.
But, it is great. Sometimes I will hear what I don't read.

I have the NT on CD. It is The Word of Promise New Testament, presented in Dramatic Audio Theater. It's NKJV. I love it!

Wish I had the whole Bible on CD though. I really miss not being able to listen to the Old Testament.

There is also a solar powered gadget called the 'Talking Bible' which is small, lightweight and easy to use and you can attach earphones and listen to it anywhere which requires privacy or without the earphones and listen to it out loud. This may make a good Christmas gift either to give or receive. It costs around £50 ($120). I got mine for £30 so if you shop online I'm sure you could get one cheaper.

I have the NIV on cassette, and on CD I have: the ESV, NIV drama, NKJV drama, 'my time with God" daily devotionals.
I think they are wonderful, but I read much better than I listen.

Shalom chrisb743 and all, In reference to your above, you might also enjoy using your DVD Bible on your PC or Laptop for subliminal study. I use mine for that, and find that I have started seeing much more information when reading, and knowing information, when discussing. Sleeping eight hours per night, takes about three nights to go through the OT, and about two nights to go through the NT.
Using subliminal learning does not give a person active memory of data, but words of knowledge and understanding seem to pop out while discussing, or pondering.

This is a long winded way of saying: Try it, you'll like it.

In Messiah, His Shalom. Arley
