CNN creates a voting scandal in Colorado - 10/23/2008 12:31:50 PM

Yes, I did personally see the CNN report that McCain had conceded Colorado on the news (iirc they didn't even say "considering", they said that he had, at least in the "headline grab" portion of "what you'll hear tonight"). Hubby and I went "HUH?"
Especially since they were reporting this while Palin was speaking in Grand Junction, with McCain scheduled to be here tomorrow.
Many bloggers claim this is an attempt by CNN to suppress GOP voting in Colorado.

McCain definitely has not given up Colorado. He was just here today, and has a schedule to return, and I just went to a MASSIVE event for Gov. Palin at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland on Monday. If you ignore the liberal polls and focus on the moderate and conservative polls, McCain is within margin-of-error range in Colorado.

the news here in Colorado is determined to Get us to turn Blue. They forget that there is more to this state then just Denver and Boulder.

Well, with the oodles of money that gay millionaire Tim Gill has used to buy Democratic seats and mayors and governors in Colorado, I hope we can at least keep Colorado from getting flushed completely down the toilet by giving our 9 points to 0bama. Colorado has a lot of strong conservative Christians. Hopefully we can hold the line.

I don't know where you are in Colorado Manimal, but I know for me it has been frustrating being in an area that used to be solid red and now every where i look there is Obama signs. I hoping that the numbers in the Springs though can over come Denver and Boulder.

I live in Greeley. My name is Matthew, for future reference :)
For being a College town and an illegal immigrant haven with a liberal rag like the Greeley Tribune, I don't see a lot of 0bama signs around here. I see Mcain/Palin signs all over the place, though. I hope you don't get overwhelmed wherever you are!

well you and I must drive down different Streets here In Greeley. I think I've counted 6 Obama signs to only 2 McCain signs just driving to School. But that is the college area so that may be it as well. My co-worker and I are also split on the issue and I actually went toe to toe with the husband of the wife that heads up the Democrate committe here in Greeley. That was an instersting conversation to say the least. The Tribune is a joke, I think the UNC Mirror is more fair and that is saying something.

You are in Greeley too... fancy meeting you here! I actually live in Evans of of 35th Ave. near the Home Depot, so I guess I am not technically in Greeley anymore, but we all know its the same city ;p
Did you get to go see Gov. Palin in Loveland or *gag* Biden here at the college?

Don't let the liberal nutjobs that consist of most college students and professors get you down. Be a conservative light in the liberal darkness. Most of the campus kids mean well but are just fooled easily.
I chose to finish my undergrad degree online with Regent after specifically seeking out a respected Christ-centered University. It is nice to take classes that don't automatically dismiss God from the conversation.

well this is my second go around in college. I went to a small Bible school right out of high school so that laid a good ground work for me. I figured after being inside of Christian education since I was in the 3rd grade, I would see what was out there. So far I'm not impressed with the standard of eduction in the secular world. (note for the people out there this is not a slam against public schools, more of just a slam of my area and I didn't think my high school eduation was great either.) That means since I'm not a bright eye Freshman out of school I don't just sit there and soak up everything they try to spoon feed us. I had fun earlier this year terring apart this artical we had to rad in my English class written by the ACLU. Lets just say my classmates looked confused and just attacked me not my argument, which kudos to the professor put a stop to that.
In one of my history classes there was a group making fun of Palin, not on her policies, or ideas, but on her accent. If we decide the next president by the running mates accent we really aren't much better then how high schools choose homecoming queen.
So I actually paid close attention as I was driving to school this morning and saw about equal number of signs for each canidate, with Obama having most of the college area so maybe we are still more red then I can see, being on campus so much of the time. I'm just hoping and praying that Colorado does not flip Blue. I don't think that would be good for us.

It depends on the other "swing states". If McCain wins more of those, which at the moment looks like he will, then Colorado goes back to being unimportant like we have always been. But if 0bama manages to squeak out a few swing states, then Colorado's 9 electoral votes will be very important.
