I was priveleged to see the Dove Brothers for the first Friday, at Frank Arnold's Songfest, and then they were in my hometown Saturday night. Both nights they sang a new song, "You Would Think He Would Learn" has anyone heard that song? It is on their newest CD, McCray Dove wrote it, and it is an awesome, awesome song. So true, so many times Satan comes at us, and every time it is the same result, we pray and pray and pray until we have prayed it through. After losing so many times you would think he would learn, wouldn't you? McCray did an awesome job singing this song, and God blessed him with the words to this song.

Yeah my mom bought it Saturday night, and I have practically wore that song out!! She also bought the one with "I Can Pray" on it, and I have almost wore it out too!

That's two of the six.

For the record the other four are....

The Prophets

Triumphant

The Imperials

Calvary's Way

That song is on the new Dove Brothers CD entitled "Life". The entire CD is outstanding and may be my favorite Dove Brothers CD ever. However, the song "You would think he would learn" is one of my least favorite songs on the CD. I understand the point of the song, and we can sing it concerning our personal walk with God and it is great. However, if you think of it in terms of the whole world I know why Satan keeps trying. He has won way too many times. Whether you look in the Bible or to people that we know personally, Satan has tricked, deceived, and eventually won way too many souls. The Bible says broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be that go there in. Since Satan has won so many I guess he thinks he can win us too. That is why he keeps trying, and that is why we must be vigilant at all times. Just my two cents.

I just received this new song by the Dove Brothers this week at the radio station where I work. It's their new radio release...the follow-up to "You Don't Know God's Love".

I also like the song. It is one of my favorites from Life next to "You Don't Know God's Love". They definitely chose the right songs for singles.

Thank you sooooo much for posting about The Dove Brothers and the awesome song,"You Would Think He Would Learn"! I know this song comes to my mind on a daily basis when ole slew foot tries to put fear and doubt in my mind, so I just stop and pray about it. McCray is one fine song writer and lead singer as well! I cannot think of anything else to say about "I Can Pray" that has not been said! It still brings tears of joy when I hear the great tenor Jerry Martin sing it! Go Doves!

Thanks for the video link. I also like the song and heard them sing it live in South Carolina in April. I am probably going to get the CD because I liked the song they recently had on the charts.

BTW - Who is the fourth guy in the video?????

I love that song, but my favorite on that album is the one that features Jerry "I want to Live My Life For You" Jerry is imho one of the best tenors in Gospel music today.

Yup, I purchased it last month and it's been playing ever since I downloaded it!

Anybody have the songwriters list? Crossroads doesn't include them in the download.

I rigged/edited the cd in Itunes so that "You Don't Know God's Love" goes right into the reprise at the end of "Smooth Sailing" when you play the 2 tracks together.

I really like the song, but the reprise makes it even better when played together!

"Smooth Sailing" was my least favorite track. I also didn't care for "A Day in the Life."

That said, the afore-mentioned "You Don't Know God's Love," "You Can't Fix It," "After the Storm," and "I've Still Got a Feeling" are tremendous. Great project by DBQ!

I am still very partial to Eric (he's like... um... tied at number one for my all time male singer!!) but I am glad they were able to find someone to help out

Charles was going to be with them through the GOGR. I think Eric may be back with them now. I talked with Charles at Hoofers the other night and he was really enjoying being with the Dove Brothers. Charles is from AL and he is MC at Hoofers Gospel Barn in LaGrange. He also has a radio/tv program.
