I loved, "Barack Obama is the least qualified presidential nominee in the last 100 years" and... "Next Time Call John McCain" ...after the comments about Barrack changing his mind about the Georgia-Russia conflict 3 times in 5 days (back to the position McCain originally had). ---Gulliani Palin rocked too imo!

"Barack Obama has used 'change' to further his career - John McCain has used his career to further change!"

From the 2004 RNC... Zell Miller quote:
This is the man who wants to be the Commander in Chief of our U.S. Armed Forces?! U.S. forces armed with what -- spitballs?! One of my most favorite speeches EVER!

I don't remember the exact quote, but it meant that she (Sarah Palin) wasn't going to Washington to try to please the media, she was going to work for the people. Classy lady who can probably handle herself well in political brawls with Dems too. -Dave

"While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for. That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay..." - Palin "And there is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate..." - Palin "Harry Reid, the Majority Leader of the current do-nothing Senate, not long ago summed up his feelings about our nominee. He said, quote, "I can't stand John McCain." Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps no accolade we hear this week is better proof that we've chosen the right man..." - Palin "They're the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals..." - Palin "Whats the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick..." - Palin "When the cloud of rhetoric has passed, when the roar of the crowd fades away, when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot -- what exactly is our opponent's plan?" - Palin

My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of "personal discovery." This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn't just need an organizer. -Palin I thought this was poignant. It's true....Obama shouldn't be hoping for on the job training and making this a chance for personal discovery. Real threats and issues await. I remember pausing to understand the barb/joke and then laughing and cheering this one as well!

One line from McCain's speech that I liked and that may resonate with Independents: "I’ve fought the big spenders in both parties, who waste your money on things you neither need nor want, and the first big-spending pork-barrel earmark bill that comes across my desk, I will veto it. I will make them famous, and you will know their names. You will know their names."

You know, I've been called a maverick; someone who marches to the beat of his own drum. I fought for the right strategy and more troops in Iraq, when it wasn't a popular thing to do. I don't work for myself. I work for you. I love how career politicians can talk out of both sides of their mouths. Work for the majority of Americans? Please!
