Just wondered if anyone else out there still loves 70s era Christian rock AKA "Jesus music"...stuff like Resurrection Band, Servant, Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill etc. and wants to chit-chat. I'm a big music fan and there don't seem to be many out there that remember any of the CCM pioneers anymore.

I miss Larry a LOT! I still listen to his music often with a sad smile.

I love Jesus music so much that all I do is try to update my CD collection. There is such a rich history there with musicians that are by far the best. To me Jesus music speaks to my heart more then todays music. I'm sure its just that I'm so much older now.

When I was a senior in high school (1980-81) I was lucky enough to get a job DJ-ing the night shift at Central California's first CCM station. With Christian music radio still in its infancy, we didn't always receive a lot of new material, and had to rely on our library of '70s-era albums to keep the music playing. That's how I discovered Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, Daniel Amos, Keith Green, Rez Band, Malcolm & Alwyn, Barry McGuire, the Talbot Brothers, Petra, Sweet Comfort Band, Don Francisco...(sigh)...so much amazing music, and most of us were hearing it all for the first time. In my opinion, the '70s & '80s were the best years for CCM. So...to answer your question...yeah, I kinda like chit-chatting about it! :-) Mike

Now I remember that one, and how about this one too?: DeGarmo & Key - Alleluiah, Christ Is Coming I think I am gonna go start a classic Christian music video thread now.
