I was wondering if anyone knew of a good book on prayer, Thanks.

Yes! The very best book I know of on prayer is an old classic by Ole Hallesby. And it's title is Prayer.
You should be able to easily obtain an inexpensive paperback copy of it. And I think you'll be blessed, abounding!  LL

Another great classic is E. M. Bounds on Prayer. It's a collection of his writings on prayer, and each chapter can be read independently of the others. I hope you enjoy it.

I've been working my way through a timeless classic by Oswald Chambers titled IF YOU WILL ASK. It's a collection of his reflections on the power of prayer.
Here are the chapters to give you a little overview:
What's the good of prayer?
The secret of the sacred simplicity of prayer
The secret of the sacred struggle for prayer
The curriculum of intercession
After God's silence - what?
Now this explains it
Praying in the Holy Spirit
St. Paul's intercession
This day is that day
Intercession
The key to service
The unrealized logic of prayer
There are so many gems in this book!
Not sure what you're looking for, but I have found this little book to provide a lot of insight about prayer, it has given me a lot to chew on in my spiritual growth, and has given me confidence that my prayers from the heart, while not the poetic stuff we sometimes hear, is what God wants from us ... direct from our heart to His.
Another suggestion is to run a word search using one of the online Bibles for "pray" and "prayer".

Gloria Copeland's "Prayers That Avail Much" series
Myles Munroe's "The Power and Purpose of Prayer"
Dutch Sheets' "Intercessory Prayer"

Thanks everyone I think I am going to go with E.M. Bounds on Prayer. I read a lot of reviews on it and it sounds awsome. Thanks again.
