I have something disturbing me. I go to a gym that is very convenient for me, however, they play AC/DC and other hard rock in the morning. I asked the manager to change the station and he was very rude to me. And this is not the first time. to tell you the truth, I really don't want to go there anymore because of this and because from there, I have to go right on to practice and, as a result, have gross sweaty clothes in my car until I get home.

I could go work out at the gym in San Bernardino, but it's a trek for me. or I could go running and shower at home and work out when I get to school.

it really assaulted my nerves this morning. am I being picky or am I being godly by not allowing that kind of stuff to come into my mind?

thanks.

Gyms have corporate policies for this stuff if its a chain. If its an independent then its the manager's decision. But they can't please everyone either.

Bally's had horrible workout music but that's why they invented ipods and radios. Bring your own music.

I prefer anything that is hard driving. slow soft music just kills when it comes to working out. i tune out words and work out to the beat

I don't know if you're being too picky. For me, as long as the gym isn't playing country music or polka, it's all good, lol.

Our gym plays a hard rock radio station which is ok with me. I just wish the station would play more Metallica and I'll be a happy little gym bunny, lol. I like hard rock, and I run better when they are on. But if anyone requests to change the station, I wouldn't oppose it.

I prefer running to really upbeat tunes as well. No mellow music for this girl unless I'm on a date, lol.

What would you prefer they play?

I'd be thankful to hear AC/DC at a gym and not the obnoxious dance music they usually play.

They play music at the gym?! I use only the pool and if there is music I certainly can't hear it. There's no music in the locker room either.

I go first thing in hte morning. I'm a stay at home mom, so sweaty workout gear isn't an issue for me. However, most of the other women there in the morning are heading to work afterwards. Not sure how they handle the sweaty workout gear. They must have figured something out, since they always workout before work.

You have a choice. You can throw in the towel or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face.

Me too, lol. One of my ring tone is AC/DC. Whenever my phone rings at work, the guys always tease me about my drug dealer calling, lol. I can handle some dance and hip hop music. THey're not that bad, esp when I'm running.
