This is a just a curiosity question, although one that I've had for quite a while.
For those of y'all who like to look specifically at women with surgically-augmented faces and/or bodies . . . why?
No, I'm not asking about lust.
Neither am I asking for a debate on whether plastic surgery is a sin or not.
Nor am I discounting that some people have plastic surgery to offset effects of disease nor illness.
I'm simply curious as to why a man would find plastic beauty, in and of itself, appealing.
And, for those of you who do, does it mean that natural beauty is not appealing to you?
If so, why not?

First of all, how large a sample of men do you think look at plastic beauty? I don't think it is needed.

This isn't an inflammatory "why do all men do this" type of thread.
(personally, I can't stand it when someone asks those types of questions to males, females or any other "group" of people).

I'm not aware of anyone who likes looking at "surgically-augmented faces and/or bodies" perse because that's not something that is easily discerned. Being visually-oriented I think most men are drawn to beautiful women in general. Whether or not that person has "had some work done" is not even something I think runs through our minds when we see someone attractive unless the "work" is...shall we say..."overkill" if you know what I mean (lol).

It kinda did. 
Occasionally, I will hear (or read) a man say that he prefers augmentation. I think the first time I heard is is when I started swirling this question around in my head.
I've also heard some men (both single and married) theorize that they would want their (future) girlfriend / wife to have very specific surgeries done regardless of what she would naturally look (before the operations) and soley for the purpose of fulfilling the man's visual expectations of what pleased him.

I agree with the vikingfan. I think any man who is willing to ask a woman to have plastic surgery should be kicked off the bus at the next stop. Physical beauty is a nice attribute but I am far more concerned about what a woman is like on the inside. If it all boiled down to the most beautiful being the most suitable than why are so many models and celebrities going from one failed relationship to the next?

Any man who openly admits that he prefers a woman who is "surgically enhanced" is too shallow to be considered a good candidate for a long term relationship. Simply because there will come a time when, no matter how much surgery you have, it just won't work. When that time comes you'll be dumped for the next pretty face and well built body willing to go under the knife for him. A man like that obviously loves the physical form more than he does the woman and would probably just as content with a department store mannequin. And besides, how far would a woman go to please a man like that? How many surgeries? Why should any woman be willing to alter her physical appearance simply to meet his arbitrary concept of beauty? Would he go as easily to the comestic surgeon to meet her physical ideals as well?
One previous poster had it correct. No man I know is thinking, "I like the way she looks because she's surgically altered." Each one of them is thinking, "What an attractive woman." Whether it's surgical or natural is no where in our minds.
As far as personal preferences go, I am more attracted to women who are natural beauties, who wear little make-up as opposed to being heavily made-up.
Women who are the super models and celebrities that appear to be perfect physical specimens are attractive, I'll admit, but they don't engage my interest. They seem too unreal to me.

However, that wasn't my motivation for posting the question. It really is simply something I've been curious about since the first time I heard it . . . such statement wasn't directed towards me; it was just something I overheard . . . and throughout the past couple of years have heard it again (either audibly or visually) by enough different men, that I decided to ask about it.

By-the-way. Your question does smell suspiciously like a trap to most men. At least it does to this man. To this, I will say that I'm pretty straightforward; and if I say something isn't a trap, then that is what I mean.
It's up to you whether you want to believe me or not.

I have talked to men who have expressed a desire for a woman who was rather obviously surgically enhanced. When I pointed out that they were 'plastic', their response was "So?"
One explanation that I've heard is that the female form expresses her sexuality, and some men feel that the more shapely they are, the more sexy they are. To qoute Mae West "Too much of a good thing...is wonderful!"
Personally, I find it disgusting.
I mean, it's ok if there is a medical need...say reconstructive surgery or following a mastectomy or something like that. Otherwise, what's wrong with what God gave you?

I'm not one of those who prefer looking at it...but it has been discussed and if my wife were to have breast cancer then I would be fine with cosmetic surgery some point down the road if that is what she chose.
A beautiful person has very little to do with outward appearance imo

I don't, however how do you know if someone has or hasn't though? I prefer naturaly beauty myself.

Allow me to translate.
Likes plastic enhancements = hangs out at strip joints = jerk.
Likes real women = hangs out on Crosswalk (or other Christian) forum = gentleman.
I've heard men say they don't care if breasts are enhanced or not, and I've heard men say they couldn't tell the difference. I've encountered one many who said he preferred plastic to reality. Personally, I think women look better unenhanced.
Faces are a different matter. Usually the surgery is less drastic and harder to identify. How can you tell if a woman has had a nose job?
BTW, I believed you when you said it wasn't a trap, it's just that you were asking those who prefer enhancements.
