Hey Everyone. I didn't see a thread on Triumphant Quartet, so sorry if I missed it. However I think they deserve one. These guys guys are a true class act, have a great sound, and are down to earth people. I got to experience my first Triumphant Quartet concert last night(10/2/08) in Rome,Ga along with the Booth Brothers. Both acts were excellent, great group of guys. I posted about The Booth Brothers in Their Thread. But I want to Focus on Triumphant. I had been wanting to see Triumphant while they were still in Pigeon Forge, however I never got the chance. And seemed liked when they were within driving distance I always had something going on or was singing myself. Tonight, I had nothing and they were within driving distance so I went, and its a choice I am thankful for. These guys were awesome. Their Harmony, their song choices, thier arrangements, everything was in place. They are a great quartet, not good, GREAT! They are worth a drive to see. But, not only do they sing good, and have a good time, they are excellent christian guys. I was blown away by thier character, and how they presented themselves. Clayton talked to me for a little bit, and we had a fun time just talking and hanging out, it seemed as though we had been friends for years. Not only did he take time to thank us for coming, he took time to ask us about our hometown, since next March they are coming here. He is a great guy. They have a great sense of humor, yet at the same time a great message rolled into one. They entertain, while sharing the gospel of Christ, without losing touch with the meaning of what they are doing, and why they are there. Triumphant Quartet is a group who I think will be around for some time to come. I for one will be back many times to see them, and I recommend anyone who hasn't seen them to do so. They ended their night, sharing the stage with the Booth Brothers, with only a piano, singin old southern gospel, and man, did they ever have a sound. Truely needed more of that. They need to do that more and more with the Booth Brothers together. A new kinda Kingsgold, and they do a fine job of it. During that part of the service the spirit truely fell and WOW is all I can say. You would have had to been there to know, and see. It was an awesome night in the Lord! Triumphant Quartet. A New Favorite to me, a name I think is here to stay!

I was privileged to see and hear Triumphant at Pigeon Forge three times. The first two times were when they were using their original name. I have seen them once in Lakeland, Florida, but I have not seen them since thay started touring full time. If I can resolve some health issues, I plan to see them in Waldo, Florida later this year. Triumphant is indeed one of the finest quartets on the road today, and in my opinion, ever. They are impressive musically, personally, and, most important, spiritually. My favorite group is The Dove Brothers, but Triumphant comes in a very close second.

I, like you paulpate, have others who take my favorite groups spot. However now after seeing them in person, they have moved up my listed greatly. I have always loved thier sound, and knew they had a great quartet, but seeing them in person really makes it come out. They are impressive as you said. I don't feel thier cd's do them justice, ye, the cd's are great, I am not saying they aren't but hearing them live is so much better. Then being able to meet the guys, and see how the are makes it that much better. They are the same both on and off the stage from what I saw tonight. They take a top spot to any group out there. They give a message, while making it fun, and entertaining, while yet still being serious at times too. They are an all around group, who can cover all sides, and make you feel at home!

IMO, no Quartet trumps TRIUMPHANT! They don't make it to Texas or any of the bordering states very often and when they do, only my own funeral would cause me to miss the concert! I never got to make the trip to see them at Pigeon Forge. That's something I regret. But I think they consider me to be a full-fledged fan!

I'll get a headache trying to figure out who i like more..... This thread is about TQ. they are GREAT....David Sutton, surely one of my fav tenors.

This is something I have been meaning to post for a couple of weeks. Triumphant's song "He Is" was never released to radio as a single as much as I thought it had a chance to go to #1. One of the group members told me it was because the song was so long (over 5 minutes, I think) that radio would not play it. BUT, now the Lester's have released the song to radio and our local station is playing it a lot. They do good on the song but being familiar with Triumphants version, to me it is so much better. I do not mean to take anything away from the Lester's but Scottie and Clayton gives me "Glory Bumps" when I hear them sing this song. That's just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with you, Santa. The Lesters' version just doesn't seem as strong to me, especially after I've been hearing it from TQ for a few years. Clayton and Scotty are so good together on that song.

I love the Triumphant Quartet they are awesome, they have great sound and a awesome harmony and chemistry, has anyone heard their latest CD "Look To God"?? It is my favorite of theirs believe it or not ( And I have almost their entire discography) the song "Look To God" is just AWESOME I hope they release it to radio. I also really enjoy their "Intermission" CD. Those two are probably the best table projects I have seen come along in a long time.

Dinana, I don't know excatly where all you guys were sitting, or at during intermission or the end of the concert. But during intermission, I was with Triumphant QT at the table, actually took a picture with them behind thier table. I had on a blueish green shirt. At the end, I was up at the stage with the Booth Brothers, chatting with them, and taking pictures. I wished I would have known all of you were there. I would have loved to met you all in person. Maybe some other concert we can get together at. I attend quite a few both in Alabama, and in Georgia. But back to the night. It truely was a blessing and an awesome night. Triumphant QT is a top, HIGH class group of guys all the way around. I know next March they are coming to Centre,Al. It will be Triumphant Quartet, The Primitive Quartet, New Ground and The Baileys. The Baileys are a group from Sand Rock,Al. They are good as well. Just a local group though. They have several table projects out, and get some local radio air time. But, I will be at that concert for sure. Me and Clayton talked about it during intermission. He is truely a nut!! LOL. But a great guy.

They were definitely in Illinois Sunday afternoon, and they said they were heading home after the concert. I posted a short review of the concert on the "Recent Concerts Attended" thread. They, and the Dove Bros., are at the top of my traditional male quartet fave list right now. There really is nothing Triumphant does, musically or otherwise, that I do not like. If Santa reads this, I told Clayton to tell you "hi" when he sees you again. He told me he had seen you a couple of weeks ago.

ORIGINAL: Smokymtnsanta I DO GET TO SEE CLAYTON AT CHURCH OCCASIONALLY. He smiled really big when I asked him, out of the blue, if he had seen Santa Claus lately. That was my opening statement to him. He was passing out registration forms so we did not have time for a very long discussion. We did not have time to hang out for more talk afterward because we had left Mom visiting Dad at the NH an hour away, and needed to get back to pick her up.
