I don't get as angry as I did when I was younger, but if I had to name one thing that can irritate me more quickly than other things and therefore make me angry more than anything else it would be phoniness. I've always prized the truth -- good, bad or ugly.

The one thing that gets me more angry than anything else is to see someone treated unfairly or as if they really are not important.I have seen people look down thier noses at others with the attitude that they really are beheath them and therefore not worthy of respect. Or to see the poor treated like second class citizens just because they are poor. We are all created equal by the same loving heavenly Father and are all due the same respect.

Just about everything.... however, what makes me the most angry is...people asking me if I am angry.

Family issues because it angers me to see loved ones hurt or be hurt. Health and Financial issues because most of them I did nothing to bring on myself. As someone who is used to beating herself up, it feels strange for me to admit to the fact that I didn't bring most of it on myself.

I just go nuts to see someone deliberately hurt children or helpless animals. One way I've dealt with it is to take really good care of my kid and my animals (I have lots). I have taught this to my kid, and she is on her way to probably becoming an animal rights activist (ethics, not PETA).

Lack of empathy. When you cannot imagine how someone else feels you loose some of your humanity. Evil is the absence of empathy. Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Luke 6:31).

This is gonna sound weird, but... When I'm angry and I know that I have no right to be, it makes me even more angry. Because not only is whatever is making me angry in the first place happening, the knowledge that I have no business being angry is kind of an added slap in the face. Shortcoming on my part, I realize... but I'm just being honest.

I've come a long way with anger. The Prince of Peace has truly changed me. That is not to say I still don't get angry at times. But I've learned how best to deal with and dissipate it. I take it to Him. I do not expect the world and unbelievers to act like anything but what they are---worldly and unbelieving. So no anger there. They are being who they are. My struggle is more within the 'church' and among those who call themselves by Christ's name. When I see evil done in His name, it makes me sick. . . and angry. And it often is done by those who consider themselves (and who have convinced others as well) as being righteous. The Psalm I prayed this morning, Psalm 94, speaks of those who are proud and who speak arrogantly, ganging up on others. How many times have we seen that done in the church? I've seen it done here. And, yes, it makes me sad first and foremost. And sometimes I become angry. We are told to be angry and sin not and to be slow to be angry. So when my anger arises, I need to watch myself, run to Jesus and be led by the Spirit. Yes, that is my desire to not let my flesh lead but to always be Spirit led.

The problem with anger is that unless I can bring a solution to the table that emotion is useless. I am angered by individuals who care more for polar bears and pengiuins that they do for the poor and worship the lie of global warming. I am angered by politicans who say they care for the poor but really care more about their own political power and enact policies that keep the poor enslaved in their poverty. I am angered by charismatic (in the sense of emotional) leaders who preach emotional experience over solid biblical exegisis. I am angered by the "arts" community that seeks to "push the envelope" rather than produce material that glotifies the best in man.

I chose: News events issues Crime issues Environmental issues As far as directly personal stuff, I have no tolerance for users. I can really get angry when I feel used. It is easy for me to give, give, give when it is my choice, but if someone crosses that line and I begin to feel used, I close down toward them -- closed real tight.

About 20 yearsago I stopped becoming angry, didn't try to; it just happened. I am not trying to be pius as being angry is certainly not a sin, I just developed another attitude towards things that previously caused anger in me. The emotion I feel now when someone or some entity (government) does something really abrasive it just sadness and pity for those who feel they have to do such dumb things. If someone does something really offensive to me, my family, or my Church; I pray for them and take steps to avoid having it happen again. Works for me. Thanks RC

I voted 'Other'. I get disgusted and disappointed in circumstance of course but that's life. My real anger is peaked when a person has no regard for another's personal space morally, emotional or physically.

I think what angers me more than anything else is DECEPTION. When someone totally twists the word of God to their own design to justify a belief that just isn't right bothers me enough, because you can talk all you want to that individual but they are not willing to see the truth no matter how plain it might be. But what really gets my blood boiling is when those people seek to deceive others in their misguided thinking. When it should be so obvious that what they have convinced themselves of is totally contrary to the Word of God, then they try to deceive other people, especially young Christians who are hungry to know more of God and might be easily deceived. There is just nothing that angers me anymore than this. And when they argue their point so boldly, taking everything out of context in the Bible to make their wild ideas seem to have Some merit. That is the oldest trick in Satan's book and using it more today than ever, it seems. IF someone wants hard enough to convince themselves of something, I pity them, but when they try to convert others to their ideas, I want to fight! I ran in to Some of that when I first came to these forums in fact. Some of the way out, far fetched ideas Some people are trying to push really gets under my skin. I have since had to learn to avoid those parts of the forums and save myself and perhaps other people Some grief.

I lose my temper for a minute when like something happens that causes me pain. i.e. when i was moving to a new apartment, something caused me physical pain and it made me very uncomfortable and stuck for a couple of minutes, and the pain was too hard to bear and i was aggravated that the pain happened. its like a "oh darn it" but to the extreme. fortunately, when the pain was over, the anger also went over. it was like huge frustration, pain, mental anguish all rolled into one and it showed itself by me getting angry. the other thing that gets me angry is when i really want to tell you something and you either - walk away not caring or you tell me "i dont care about your opinion" but if its something I really really want them to hear, a button turns on in me, and I cant let them go till they've heard me. its like my adrenaline gets to running and I JUST HAVE TO tell them what i want them to hear. this happened in real life when my ex-husband's family was over on Fathers Day and this one guy was taking his poor little skinny 3 year old and making him lay his face on the dirty floor as punishment, without even putting a towel inbetween his face and the dirty floor, meanwhile they had about 3 dogs there, so when i saw that, i said "hey thats pretty mean you putting your kids face on the floor like that.. and he said "i dont care waht you think about it" well that made me mad and I followed him around teling him what i thought. they all got mad with ME because it was fathers day and I was spoiling their fun, meanwhile I was witnessing what i thought was child abuse but no one was saying anything about that kid who really did not do anything to deserve that. but his father is a big jerk and one who beats people anyway.. i haven't heard from that family in many many years.
