What things would you like to see in the new forums? Here's my wish list. Feel free to add your own.
#1 I would like to be able to automatically subscribe to all threads I post in.
#2 I would like to be able to post without having to click through so many steps, and to only have one "reply" button.
#3 I would like a "subscribe" button at the bottom of the page so I don't have to scroll all the way to the top.

1. That is in your "My Profile" area beside the heading, "Posting Preference"
2. Just click on the fast reply link.
3. I'll add it to the list. (Remember the more we tweak the forum the less likely it will be able to be updated with other new features.)

I'd like to be able to reset polls.
After experimenting a few times, I've discovered the following to be true of this site:
1) You cannot add a poll to an existing thread. I'd like to be able to do so, as we can do in CW.
2) The poll question is automatically the thread's title. I'd like to be able to start a thread and then add the poll. For example, I'd like to be able to name the thread "Daily Polls" and then change the poll question daily (or semi-daily) without having to change the thread's title.
3) This is related to #1, but once the poll is closed ("stripped"), there is currently no way to start another one in the same thread. Thus you have to open another thread to open another poll. I'd like to be able to start a new poll in the same thread if possible, once one thread has been stripped.

I'm adding this Wish List item separately, because it applies to all threads, and not just polls.
I'd like to have the OP appear on the top of every page of a thread, once it becomes a multi-page thread. This is especially useful in the Humor and Games section, in which rules are posted in the OP, and as it's on the top of each page, it serves as a handy reference in case any new members wish to join in.

don't know if this is a bug or a wish .....
I posteed something. Went to another thread, read, and tried to post. But it wouldn't let me post two posts in such a short amount of time. They were in two different threads, so I don't see that that would be spamming --- if that's the intent of the limitation.

Would it be possible for the notes to open in a different page like at cw? right now when I get a note it takes me away from the page I am viewing, and I have to backspace to get back to it.
and MEGA DITTOS to Tricia's wish "Is there any way that the option "Notify me via e-mail when someone replies" could default to being unchecked?"

Kath --- if you click on "My Inbox" at the top it will open a seperate window.

I'd like something like the "New Msgs" link at the top of our page, so we could see how many msgs were left in our subbed list.
Bookmarks would be a nice feature as well, but those aren't as high a priority.

my wishes are:
1) new message link like we had a crosswalk so that we can read through our subscriptions without having to click so many links.
2) # of unread posts in a thread. Like 100 posts, 10 new.

I agree!!!
I just don't get the subscription feature. When I go to "My Forums" it shows me the names of the forums I am subscribed to. I have to click on each folder just to see what is new.
What's the point? If I have to go to the folder to see what's new, why even subscribe at all????
To top it all off, I did everything I could to shut off the e-mails . . . unchecked "get mail" on the ONE AND ONLY THREAD I am subscribed to, made sure the e-mail notification isn't checked when I post (for some reason, it's a default) and I am STILL getting spammed with those "Enter your message here" subscription notifications. They don't even tell me why I am getting them.
If this is all I get for being subscribed I won't subscribe to anything at all.

My Forums is equal to Crosswalk's Msg Center.

I would liike to know how many unread posts there are in each thread.
In "my forums" the threads that I am subscribed to show only the OP and not the next post I haven't read. I would find that helpful.
Maybe, I just don't get it, but I don't think that tickets are a good idea. I cold see someone who wants to cause trouble enjoying seeing how many tickets that they have earned, and other people having hurt feelings and feeling picked on.

How many tickets they have earned?
Tickets are the offender reports. The only ones an individual sees are the ones that he or she has done - if you report an offense, you see that ticket, but no others.
Does that make sense?
