Thanks for sharing Virginia and reminding us that Jesis has compassion on us when we doubt and have fear.

I wouldn't be surprise if your mother can see you writings. Maybe the Lord would want to reward her and this may be one of the ways He would do so.

My Heart Can See Thee

My heart can see Thee,
Oh, beautiful One.
My heart can see Thee,
God’s precious Son.

The nails pierced Your hands,
The nail pierced Your feet.
The crown of thorns,
All Heaven did mourn.

Death defeated,
Final answer unfolds.
Risen from the grave!
The end not yet told.

Ascended on high!
Apostles assured.
Your story told quickly,
To a skeptic world.

Passed into the Heavens,
My Jesus, Son of God.
The Father adores,
King of Kings, Lord of Lords!

Entered within the veil,
The Lamb sits on His throne.
Hope I now have,
Sure anchor for my soul.

Perfect sacrifice,
Bringing rest to my heart,
My heart can see Thee,
My Saviour Thou art.

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest forever

Hebrews 6: 19, 20

Virginia,

Heaven and the New Earth with Jesus

~Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also~
The Gospel of John 14:1-3
Jesus Christ of Nazareth

~And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely~
Revelation 21: 3-6

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true~
Revelation 22: 3-6a

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11: 6-9

~And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations~
Revelation 22: 1, 2

~I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also~
~Surely I come quickly~

Hi Virginia and Amy,

Sorry I haven't written in so long......we have been having major problems with our computer. Just a quick update for now, since I'm not sure how long my computer will work without freezing up. In the last 3 weeks, we have had death threats to both us and our son and a drug dealer actually kicked down our front door looking for our son. Our son bought drugs on "credit" from this drug dealer. By the grace of God, our neighbor across the street saw them kick the door down and she called the police. The police got to the house and to my son, just before the drug dealers did. My son was found by the police hiding in the shower. This happened in broad daylight while my husband and I were at work. Last week, my son was finally sentenced for several different charges. He has been sentenced to 53 days in jail (including a drug and alcohol treatment program at the jail) with 4 years probation. So, for the time being, our house is much quieter without kids coming and going and the phone ringing constantly. Would you please pray that the Lord will do an awesome work in my son's heart and bring him back to walking with the Lord and break the bondage of drugs and alcohol my son is under. My new job is going well, praise the Lord for giving me a new job - without even having to look for it! We are desperately trying to catch up our bills, especially our mortgage, after I was denied my sick pay for the 6 weeks I was off work ill. We are right on the verge of foreclosure and praying the Lord will intervene on our behalf. God bless you and thank you both for your prayers and encouragement.

Love in Christ, Susan

You are so welcome! I am praying for your son and your family and the house situation...I am currently so caught up in my own trials that I have not been able to post/respond much...But, I am grateful for your sharing because I have been lifting your son and situation up to our Lord in prayer...

Our Glorious Triune God

~The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen~

Who can fathom the matchless wonder of the truths of this verse? For tucked away at the very end of the book of Second Corinthians is found beauty beyond comparison. The Triune God, His character and ways of relating to fallen, yet redeemed man is unveiled before our adoring heart. How can we not bow and worship at such revelation, the truths of which will be continually revealed to us in ever-increasing manner throughout eternity?

The first part of the prayer begins with the marvelous grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, if we could understand and appreciate more the grace of our dearest, beloved Saviour! Grace irresistible. The wondrous grace of the Son of God! I will give a few definitions of grace but to appreciate it, one must truly experience it. His grace is grace which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm and loveliness. He speaks kindly to us with good will, loving-kindness, favour. Grace speaks of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues. Do you experience His grace dear reader?

The love of our Heavenly Father! Oh, our Father how can we ever thank Thee enough? Your love sought us until we finally succumbed to such perfect love! Your love gave for us the delight of Your eyes, our Jesus. Thank You, our Father! We can never thank You enough, our Abba. No one can pluck us out of Your outstretched hand; that hand that waved over the majestic, awesome mountains and sea, saying “let there be” is a mighty hand and we are kept in that hand! We are Your children, Your sons, Your daughters. When You see us You see the sweet fragrance of Christ and we afford You great joy. ~Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God~ ~Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee~ Your drawing-love is irrestible. So kind, so compassionate to us You are.

Finally, our sweet Holy Spirit. How little we appreciate Thee. Forgive us, our blessed Holy Spirit. You are our Comforter, the One who comes alongside of us to help. Your sweet words of comfort and encouragement are beyond compare. You unveil to us the beauties of our Jesus. You unveil the truths of scripture to us as ever-increasing light becomes ours. You lead us and guide us, You warn us and you put Your own desires within our heart. Ever-faithful to us, ever-true. We depend on You to lead us in the right direction. We depend upon You to lead us into our great purpose for living. Oh, blessed Holy Spirit, we love you, we adore You; You are just like our dearest Jesus. Thank You blessed One!

We bow before our Triune God. Let us fall at His feet and be content to lay there until He lifts us up. Someday, we will see Him in eternity as His beauty; love and grace fill us with ever-increasing adoration and delight.

But when You come,
I am filled with wonder.
Sometimes I think
I glimpse Eternity
.

Virginia,
6.16.07

I have not forgotten all my treasured readers I have been off-line again at home. Hopefully, I will be back on-line at home soon. Then I will, prayerfully, be soon posting a link to a blog I have started re: my recovering from verbal/emotional abuse and neglect.

It is hard and sad for me to write. Also, I am re-vamping some of my first devotionals re: Jesus and, prayerfully, will be submitting them here soon....

I miss you all. You are all such needed encouragement to me at a most-difficult time of my life. I have never "met" any of you and only know a couple of you that read here. But you are the strength the Lord has used to keep me going and I will never forget that many have read my writings that are born out of need...

God is Love

We see Him as love in the declaration of His Word. ~I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee~. ~Having loved His own, He loved them unto the end~. ~As the Father hath loved me, even so have I loved you~. ~God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son~.

We see it in God the Father, planning from the eternal ages for the salvation of men. He suffered more than anyone has ever suffered watching His Son being brutally tortured and slaughtered.

We see it in God the Son, as He poured out His life in unwearying ministry for the souls and bodies of men; as His heart agonized in compassion for the multitudes, like a sheep without a shepherd; as He endured with majestic patience the taunts and gibes of the judgment scene; as He bowed in agony under the bloody bows of the scourge; as, at the last, in His own body bearing our sins on the tree, His dying breath was spent in plaintive prayer for His murderers.

We see, also, God the Spirit to be love. How tender in pleading with men! How gentle in rebuke! How tireless and patient under resistance! How loath to leave, though flouted and scorned! How quick to forgive the crimson sins and remorseful follies of the vanished years of a wasted life!

Yes, the Father, Who gave His only begotten, to give us salvation; the Son, Who bled upon a felon’s cross to bring salvation; and the Spirit, Who for thousands of years has yearned over and wrought with men to apply salvation – these Three are one God of eternal, self-sacrificing, changeless, quenchless LOVE.

Please see my new blog on recovering from abuse...

The Spirit of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

The Dove

~Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes~

Every spring, the consciousness of her gentle cooing begins to speak of the beauty of the season. After a long winter, her song begins shortly after the daffodils break through the earth, heralding the beginning of new life.

This year was no different. Her soft voice speaks to my heart as does the gentle Dove of God, the precious Holy Spirit. Once more, her cooing slowly penetrated into my consciousness as we began experiencing a glorious flower-scented spring.

One day, I noticed her voice quite near; in the walnut tree that shades my bedroom. Within a few more days I heard her fluttering, with song-like wings, across my deck. Back and forth she fluttered for days ~the dove~ appeared to experience ~no rest for her feet~.

And then…God spoke. He assured me that He had caused this reminder from His creation. He tenderly shared that, I had no rest in my heart. As the dove fluttered back and forth, the gentle Dove of God was fluttering over me; fretful at the sorrow in my heart…

The aching heart of one, whose soul has been broken, battered, bruised….

The dove stopped fluttering across my deck the other day. Once again, I only heard her gentle cooing.

And then…God spoke again….reassuring, comforting, holding me close to His breast. The fluttering of His precious Spirit will soon stop fluttering over my broken heart as His tender touch begins to bring His healing touch to me once more.

Author's Note
1. The dove is quite shy, however, I saw her up close and her eyes are truly beautiful.
2. I have heard a dove does not have a gallbladder. Gallbladders hold bile which is bitter. It is interesting to me that The Blessed Holy Spirit is referred to as The Dove. Hence the Holy Spirit holds no bitterness. His very essence is sweet...
