I'm thankful that I have more working hours next week and that I'll be able to work with actors that I've been admiring for the past few weeks. I'm thankful that I'm going to be making a couple of mini-films that will be shown in a traveling museum exhibit. I'll be documenting and creating a film for a culture which is largely undocumented (there are very few books dedicated to them and maybe one or two documentaries). I am soooo excited ... and a little scared :) I really wanted to do film work, but couldn't do it within my program; but God opened the door for me to do it! So I'm excited, excited, excited. How cool is that? Only our God could do something like that.

I'm so thankful for the wonderful day I spent with my daughter and her friend at the waterpark, and for seeing how she's maturing in her ways of relating to people. I'm thankful for the rest while they played....and I had a chance to really spent some alone time with God. And I also got a chance to read through a few chapters of Mere Christianity by CS Lewis...wow, I really like that book! And for all the wonderful blessings (I received an unexpected amount of money from work....I thought they made a mistake and I contacted HR to return it, but they said it was due to me....that was really nice) and for all the new insights that I'm gaining from people here at Crosswalk. And whole lot of other blessings that came in disguise. Those are the ones that affirm to me how God works everything together for good

I'm so thankful - I am going to do a couple of mini-documentaries but didn't have cameras. Well, today I spoke with a professor and she offered to lend me hers. So now I have cameras and a microphone (I just need lights). She has also agreed to serve on my thesis committee. I found an outline for my thesis proposal as well. I also saw who should be the fourth person on my committee (I only need three, but feel that I need a fourth person). I found a few contacts as well - so I'm praying that I'll be able to start interviewing some people by October. I'm tired but very happy.

AngelInWaiting - praise God!!!! Sometimes God is so quick - it is amazing! I am so thankful that she is ok. I had a long day today and am tired, but I had so much fun. The musicians were absolutely phenomenal - it was so wonderful to just sing and play. We did a "remix" of a very serious musical number (during our break). It was hysterical! I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time. I'm sure that people wanted to know what in the world we were doing in the break room. I love working with actors and musicians - they are so much fun. I'm glad I made it through the day without injury. I found out about free dance lessons that I can take - so I'm thankful for that (I need them - that's for sure). I'm thankful that my neighbors have been quiet for the last two days (well - they are being loud right this minute - but they are moving in the right direction - into their house). I'm thankful that I didn't get chastised for not doing some of the dance correctly (just a gentle correction) today. I was thankful when I opened my check today and saw extra money. I am thankful for my classes that I am taking. I am thankful for my house, my car (which was making funny noises until I changed the oil), and food. I'm thankful for a place to sleep. I'm thankful that Gustav didn't do as much damage as was anticipated.

Plopping me in the right place at the right time to "find" my neighbor's lost son and spend the next hour or so helping him with his homework and what not :)

For this new season of learning who I am as the King of Kings sees me. This morning, I embraced the Milky Way as a gift from God ... just looking up at it felt like an act of worship. And God just keeps showing me all the little things He loves about me, sometimes through others, sometimes in other ways. I'm just very thankful for the week I've had emotionally.

I'm thankful for a devotion that I had recently. Everyone had to write down on a piece of paper what they admired about the person next to them. It was so nice :) Two people ended up writing about me and I was thankful for their words - particularly since that very morning, I was feeling a bit anxious about interacting with my new co-workers. I also am thankful - last night I was in a situation that could have ended really badly (I realized that I was with someone who had the potential to be dangerous - it was someone that I know who has mental issues, but I hadn't realized the extent of it). But God really protected me and I'm thankful. I'm thankful that I was able to learn not one but TWO dances last week. I'm also thankful that today I can just rest. I'm physically quite tired today and while I'd prefer to rest on Sunday, I really need it today :)

I'm thankful because I went to the dermatologist today and talked to him about this pink spot I have on my shoulder... it's been there about six or eight months or so. He immediately knew what it was... basal cell skin cancer. He did the biopsy in the office today and I expect it'll come back positive. But I'm just thankful it's one of the more benign cancers and not melanoma. The treatment will be done right there in his office.

Praise God Grace-And-Mercy!!!!! I'm thankful today for my sister. She transferred to another school and unfortunately, due to a number of factors, she ended up switching her major. She hated it and seemed so sad. Thanks to a great advisor, she found out that she can go back to her original major. She is really happy - there is a bounce in her step - and she seems so much happier.

For our amazing men and women serving in the military - especially today; for our freedoms they fight for in our place; for the many unsung heroes of this day - 7 years ago; for the constant reminder of why this dad is so important. For Kuku - who shares this day with her birthday - for her amazing spirit and ability to teach us about perspective. You are a true blessing, my friend.
