Hi everybody.

I haven't seen Miss Potter. One of my penpals lives in the area where it was filmed though.

Hi Deb! Just popping in. I didn't post much this weekend because it was so crazy... I need a weekend to recover from my weekend... It was a great weekend, but I'm tired now...

Hi Deb!

Enchanted? I sort of want to watch it because it got good ratings and because I've heard so much. It'll be a while though...

I messed up my computer after lunch. Long, complicated story, so I won't go into it. Finally, John tried the "restore" feature in Windows control panel, so he restored everything to the way it was Friday. I'd been trying to fix something when I messed everything up. Pride goes before a fall!

Well, I got 40 pages of "Prince Caspian" read. I guess that's good.

And Darcy, welcome home! I'll head to your thread now to read about your adventure last week.

Hi Deb and John!

Hi everyone visiting Deb and John

I love Beatrix Potter. Her art in particular.

And Deb back when the discussion was on siblings, I think that it's wonderful what your sister said to you about her childhood with you.

I have two older brothers, Don is 4 years older I think lol, Dave (Niece Angie's Dad) is 2 years older and my sister Linda is 14 months younger.

Good morning, hon!

Ah, such fun, I've broken out in hives! I'm wondering if I should fit a doctor's visit in to my week, or hope that they go away on their own......

Darcy, I think if you can fit a doctor's appointment in, that would be good. He can check your feet out whilst you're there. Just the fact that you're mentioning seeing a doctor, things must be bad. I know how much you love doctors.

Good to see a post here from Sharon! Make yourself at home, girl...most of us don't bite!

Darcy, I'm praying for your feet, knowing you can't afford time off work to rest them. But I agree with Trish that they must be really bad if you're considering a doctor visit.

The sibling discussion last week, which generated the discussion on relationships with non-Christians, indeed was good. Where do we go from there? One question it brings up to me is how do we engage in our surrounding culture without being ensnared by it?

I'm finding that the more and more grounded and confident you become in your beliefs and trust in God, the easier it is I think. If we are insecure or unsure and undecided then it gets harder to stand against much that the world offers in the negative. Remembering too that the things we do should be to please God, and not to do things to make ourselves more acceptable to those who don't really care what God would have us do.

That's my immediate thought anyway.

(((((Darcy))))) I don't know the whole story yet on your feet yet, but will be praying for you.

Yeah, Mike, but we were afraid to risk going to Boston with thunder storms being possible. John was in his chair a lot yesterday to fix my computer, so he needs to rest today anyway.

Monday we're going to Boston to get the mold for his body jacket made. Maybe later in the week we can meet you for lunch, if we don't have the kids. In the mean time, enjoy Washington D.C. I wish I could go there, but I think my health has gotten to the point of prohibiting travel.

There are some men that enjoy chick flicks... I'm not one of them.
