Yes. Here.

Sobering read.

It is indeed. But how much of it is verifiably true? Not saying the person is a liar, but verification of claims is important when it comes to such incidents.

I would trust the poster's word over Benny Hinn's.

Here is another sobering read with some failed prophecies by Hinn. I don't recall any false prophecies by Earthless (the poster).

If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him” - Deut. 18:22.

It sounds like you are prejudiced against Benny Hinn. You certainly have the right to be, but can you really make a fair, honest and objective judgement about a person if you're personal dislike of them intrudes on your judgement?

I mean, no matter who they are, you have to be fair, right?

'Prejudice' is a typical accusation when one takes a stand against a popular preacher who is a false prophet or false teacher. As a person I have nothing against Benny Hinn. I didn't make fun of his divorce because I have been through one (as a child). As a 'minister' I (and the Lord, for that matter) hold his false prophecies and his false teaching against him. Not only does he prophesy falsely, he espouses and teaches the disgusting Word of Faith doctrine (which has it's own thread here in the church folder). The scriptures hold all teachers of such filth to the same standard. So no I am not prejudiced against Benny Hinn. I do my homework on all such teachers, this just happens to be a thread about him.

Wow. A surprising amount of spite against this man. I wonder what he did to make so many people hate him.

Please provide examples of anyone "hating" Benny Hinn. Funny, that when people follow the command in Scripture to test ALL teaching (that includes Benny Hinn and all his pals in the WoF cult.), against the Word and if it contradicts the Word, it is to be exposed, they are attacked.

Also, instead of just jumping into a thread and making false accusations, you may actually considering doing some research on Benny Hinn. You can start by browsing through this thread. It contains hundreds of DOCUMENTED (written, audio, and video) examples of his false teaching, false prophecies, and complete perversion of God's Word for his own personal gain. In addition, there are a number of respected discernement sites that also provide plenty of evidence of his twisted theology.

As "moody" so astutely said, Benny Hinn is a DOCUMENTED false teacher and DOCUMENTED false prophet. No prejudice about that.

And I will even go as far to say that in my heart, I believe that Benny Hinn is a tool of satan.

I don't mean it to come across as an accusation. I'm sorry you interpreted it that way. What I meant was that you had a pre-established stance against Benny Hinn, whether justified or not, and this stance colored everything that came your way.

I humbly suggest that a negative view of Hinn should not intrude on an honest, objective quest to discern what Hinn's issues are, and he should be given a fair shake.

Now even after being given a fair shake, he could still turn out to be a scam. But at least this way you have treated him fairly and given him an opportunity to refute the claims against him and to defend himself.

It's just a matter of common courtesy and fairness that should be extended to everybody, whether it's Benny Hinn or Adolf Hitler.

Biny,

There are over a thousand posts in this thread discussing Benny. If after reading these posts, you feel people have prejudged Benny without carefully considering his teaching, then go ahead and make new posts giving Benny a fair defense.

Certainly the snide comments and mocking tone in this thread, particularly with regards to his divorce reveal some bad blood between posters in this thread and Hinn. We're not denying that, are we?

I would have to apologize for not having the time or motivation to trawl through 41 pages of insults and mockery to find the few gems of real truth. I expected those who already had made up their mind about him had actual, verifiable evidence against him.

It appears as though there is evidence and plenty of it that his teachings and prophecies were not ordained by God. I think what remains to be seen is Mr. Hinn addressing them.

All he needs to be compared to is the scriptures. He has on many occasions in this thread. When presented an opportunity to defend himself, he has stated that he wishes he had a 'holy ghost machine gun' to mow down his critics. Unless he repents, pretty much case closed.

Don't mean to nitpick, but you should acknowledge that it was claimed that he said that. There is no other evidence for it.

Why doesn't someone youtube this stuff!

I try not to say anything that hasn't been documented.

Thanks, dwtramm.

41 pages of Hinn-hating? No thanks. The youtube videos are food for thought though. Hard to tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

Since you haven't even read the 41 pages, it's apparent that you are prejudging the content.

Sarcastic or not, that was a disgusting way to respond to someone questioning his teachings. Disgusting. Not at all funny.

Hinn-hating? Hardly. I doubt anyone on this thread actually hates Benny Hinn. If he is truly saved we love his as a brother in Christ. If he is not, we yearn for his repentance. You may make mistake sarcasm or mockery as 'hating' but rest assured he has already made a joke of himself with his false prophecies and ridiculous teachings and his hypercharasmatic showboating style of ministry.

Here's a tip. If you want to avoid the 'Hinn-hating' as you call it, then just peruse the thread and look only for links. That way you can read documents and watch videos only.

I don't mean to say it's hatred in a malicious sense. But I can definitely sense ill will in this thread, at least going back the last 3-4 pages.

I don't see the point of it.

Yes, Hinn's comments were rude, tasteless, tactless and fantastically un-Christian. I wish I could challenge him on that, to be honest.

But I'm not going to sit here and mock the poor fella's divorce situation. That's a low blow no matter who you're talking about.

How about something actionable instead?

If I recall correctly, Benny Hinn and his "holy spirit machine gun" was something that he said in regards to someone who used to post in these forums (earthless, if some of you remember him).

Whatever happened to earthless? He posted often until September 2009.

I know he was being threatened with physical violence for exposing heresy. If one is not a heretic, resorting to violence seems to be the least likely way to respond to accusations.

I'm not quite sure. I tried to get a hold of him a couple of times, but he is not the easiest person to track down as he did well to conceal his identity.

I do hope that wherever he is, all is well and he is safe.

Not necessarily--some couples may want a divorce mutually and some may divorce to protect divided assets.

On the bright side I caught part of the show this morning and Benny had a wonderful-looking prosperity prayer shawl with some kind of mural on it and prosperity scriptures around the edges. Of course if I _had_ an extra $50 to donate for this "gift", I wouldn't need a prosperity prayer shawl. Oh the bitter circle!

That's something I am very disappointed about, not only with Hinn but with many others. So many starving families who love God end up sucked into what is a business. I'm very disappointed by this trend. But this is what happens in a country like America, where everything revolves around business, profits and economic gains.

How much do you wanna bet that many pastors write sermons with the intention of retaining members (along with their tithes and offerings) rather than teaching God's Word?
