Yes, make sure to squeeze the bottom to break the seal before trying to pull it out!

Next time you get panicky about taking it out just take 5-10 and get in the shower and try to relax. A nice hot shower usually helps to relax me when I am stressed. Others have already said break the seal... You can pull it down so far then slide your finger up and break the seal. if the circumference is what you think it hurting then certainly push the rim into the C shape a bit before removing it. Taking a break until you can confidently reinsert and have the time to do try the shower/relax thing prior to removal is not a bad idea. ~e

Hello! I'm really glad to find a Christian forum about menstrual cups. I bought the LadyCup and used it for two days, but the last two removals where SO painful that I stopped for a while. I got some advice from my other forum and I think I'm ready to try it again. I've been praying that God will help me do it right this time so that it won't hurt so bad. If you think of it, could you please pray for me? If it hurts that bad again I'm not sure if I can continue with it. I'm 17 and my name is Elizabeth. Thank you, and God Bless. P.S. Here is the link to the other forum, if anyone is interested: http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/

Elizabeth, My eldest is 18 and she has not been able to use her lunette cup due to her hymen being intact. It hurt quite a bit as you have said. She knows that if she continued to try it would likely get easier but also damage the hymen so she has opted to leave it be for a while. I figure she will try again the next time the pads really gross her out. I have been using my Diva now since 2005 and i absolutely love it. Hope your next cycle goes well. God Bless! ~ezri
