Went to see Triumphant Quartet last night. As always, they were great! In my opinion, they are the best quartet singing. Anyways, I was surprised to be able to get their newest dvd. and it is also great. Even though they only had 45 minutes to sing, they sang several of their new songs, and some of the old favorites. As always, it was wonderful!

Sounds great, Hope. I'll get to see TQ tomorrow and I'm planning to get the DVD, too!

I had the pleasure of hearing the 2007 Singing News Horizon Group tonight and I can't wait to hear them again!! They were awesome! I hope to have some videos and pictures posted of Paid In Full tomorrow.

Oh Yes please!! I have been a fan of their for several years, and I was thrilled to get to hear them at the NQC last year, but I have only seen them sing 3 songs live

Hi all, I just got in from seeing MTT in concert! I believe it was the best concert I've seen them do. The concert had a lot of comedy in it. Dustin is getting better & better and what a sweetheart he is. His love for his Lord is evident.

Loved the Safe on The Glory Side. Those young guys get "with it" after intermission, they had to do it again!!

I didn't know where to post this, so I'll post on the MTT thread, too.

Thanks for posting. Paid In Full has been one of my favorite trios for a while. Lance Moore is one of Southern Gospel music's best kept secrets. What a lead singer!!

I saw the The Triumphant Quartet tonight at Morris Hill Baptist in Chattanooga and it was wonderful. I was sitting dead center in the 6th row and had a great time. I didn't take notes because Dianna and her friend Vera were dead center of the 3rd row and just knew she'd take notes and have y'all a great report. But right after the the concert she said, "You'll have to give the report on the message board because I'm not going to be home till Tuesday and didn't take any notes.

Well, I'm not sure how many people that the sanctuary seats I'd guess between 500 and 600 and it was packed. They sang (and Jeff Stice played) for about an hour and a half. A good mix of some of their hits and some great medleys of old hymns. You could really tell the years on the stage in Pigeon Forge had really let them perfect their stage presence. Everything moved smoothly and effortlessly. Anyone who has tried to sing a long program with enthusiasm and praise knows how hard they worked to present the message in song.

They did my 2 favorites: Don't Let The Sandals Fool Ya and The Great I AM Still Is and one that really touched me, Wecome To Heaven My Child

Phil Cross of Poet Voices was in the crowd and they got him to come up and sing When I Get Carried Away with them.

Jeff Stice is a pretty good piano player He has to in the top 5 piano players I have ever heard. His piano solo got a standing ovation.

They also got standing Os after The Great I Am Still Is and after Clayton sang their bluegrass style song, The White Flag and at the end of the concert

Eric Bennett is still said he is recovering from acid reflux surgery a couple of weeks ago and his voice is not going to be 100% for a few weeks. I couldn't notice that his performance was lacking in any form or fashion.

Clayton is a hoot to watch sing. He has so much enthusiasm.

David Sutton is a terriffic tenor and and really good harmonica player. He did a son on harmonica with Jeff that was terrific.

If you weren't there tonight you missed a great time in the Lord.

Don't forget they are in Sevierville, Tn on Monday night.

I give it a 9 out of 10 hoppys. I'd give it 9 and 1/2 but I wouldn't want to hurt a hoppy.

Wow, it seems like it was a weekend for Dixie Echoes and Triumphant Quartet. I was in Thomasville NC on Saturday 08/23/08 (Hey LissaJo, I see you were there also). It was a great concert. It was one of my favorites for the year, so far!!

*Dixie Echoes - Can this group get any better? It seems like I keep asking that question and they go and pull off one of their best performances Saturday night. They were firing on all cylinders. Pat's cover of "How Big Is God" brought the house down. I also got a glimpse of the 'glory days' as Randy did "The Devil And His Ole Suitcase". His father Dale was always known for singing spirituals and Randy turned in a great performance.

Other highlights of their set included "Little Is Much", "The Last Mile Of The Way", "How Great Thou Art" and "Walk With Me".

*Triumphant Quartet - They remain one of the premier quartets in Southern Gospel music. They turned in another fine performance Saturday night. They had quite a few new folks in the audience who had never seen them. "Old White Flag" garnered the same response it gets everywhere I have seen this song performed; highly enthusiastic. I stepped back again when Clayton sang "Welcome To Heaven" and remembered the times he sang that with the Singing Americans. Definitely one of the highlights of their set.

They also added their standard crowd pleasers with "Look For Me", "Don't Let The Sandals Fool Ya", "He Is", "The Great I Am Still Is", "The Cloud He's Coming Back On", "For God So Loved" and "I Know I'm Going Home".

Two of my favorite quartets in the same concert was outstanding. This was the second time in the last three weeks that I have seen these two groups together. Maybe Southern Gospel's modern era answer to the Statesmen and Blackwood Brothers (at least for me).

Friday night I went to the gospel singing in Seminole, OK & what a lineup there was. Gold City, Brian Free & Assurance, Talley Trio, McKameys, Jason Crabb, Aaron Wilburn, & the Arnolds. Wow! It was a great night.

Last night I went to the first concert of the new SEKAS season in Iola, KS where The Booth Brothers & Melissa Brady were singing. The concert was nearly 3 hours long & what a fabulous concert it was ! Michael Booth was wound up! It was wonderful.

You are welcome. I am 5 miles away and could not see it. Tried to get our tech man to set up computer for me here at work last week but he could not for some reason. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks, Dana!!! Great review! I guess we have a new standard for rating concerts now --- little green hoppys!!! Love it!

It was great meeting you!!

I ended up not being able to resist, so I went to see TQ between sessions of the World Premier! The concert was fabulous as was the support from their home church. Those folks packed out their very large worship center. There was a report from a prayer ministry group at the church and they had asked TQ to sing "I Can Pray." They did a great job on it even though they hadn't ever done it before. I'd give the Sevierville First Baptist concert 10 hoppys!

I got back to WP in time to see The Old Paths. You can see my comments about the rest of the day on the World Premier and Old Paths threads.

Yes, Santa, I've been to your church before - for a worship service not a concert. Oh, and I attended a shower for Erin Bennett in the parlor that was very nice. And, yes, the church was full!! It was a beautiful sight!

Do we need to start a new concert review thread? I keep getting an error message and lost my whole Ivan Parker report which took me 30 minutes to type.
