I agree, Sharon, if I were having a visit in the winter, I'd be hoping for a blizzard, too.

Hey! I was gone for the week last week and I only see this thread now. Shees! Thanks for directing it to me Lisa!

Well when John (dawgfan_40) came in October the earthquake happened on a Sunday, the day we we missed my church service and just a few days before he was supposed to leave. So as a result he stayed for three more days and got delayed twice. LOL! God wanted to bless us I suppose with a little more time.

Now wouldn't it be totally wierd if we had another earthquake when John comes in 35 days? LOL! I would totally kiss him for that.

Now earthquakes in Hawaii only occur off the coast of the Big Island but if big enough it will rattle the whole island chain.

Sheesh Trish...if that happens again, just imagine what will happen when John moves...LOLOLOL!!!!!!

I wouldn't mind a blizzard AFTER I get to my desination. I could do without a tornado however....

Well, I talked with the parents yesterday, and they have only had 4 inches of snow since the end of last winter. So, I don't think I have too much to worry about.

Were you affected by the big winter storm in March of 1993? I believe it was a mild winter too, then WHAM.

I assume you mean his parents? Yes, that area has had a snow-drought so far this winter, but that probably just means they're saving up for a big one sometime in January or February.

I imagine (mostly due to the reason you're going

) that it will be a REALLY big one. Think along the lines of Colorado the last few weeks!!!

Not much concern about tornadoes

in the winter though....
