From Tony's newsletter:

Hello Everyone!
Ok, let's start with who Keith is…Keith is my soundman/road manager
when I travel to sing. He is also the manager here at my restaurant
in TN. It was his parents who were in the accident on Sunday they are
73 and 74 years old. Keith and his parents would like to thank you
for your prayers for them…they are doing much better now as the
swelling and soreness is going down. They are starting the normal
doctor visits…they will find out soon if more surgeries are needed.
They would appreciate your continued prayers for them over the next
few weeks of healing.

From Kirk Talley's newsletter:

This weeks embarrassing moment-----
I dressed and headed to the airport. As I threw my luggage into the trunk of the rental car, I felt the button pop on my pants. I was packed and ready to go, didnt' have time to go change, so I tightened the belt and never thought another thing about it.......until I went through security at the airport. With heightened security, now you have to take off your shoes, your watch and your BELT.......OH NO......I started praying that my pants wouldn't fall to the floor. I unpacked my laptop and my equipment, placed them on the belt, had my boarding pass in my right hand, and was holding my pants up with my left hand. "Drop your hands" she said loudly. I guess I looked at her with a question on my face......"I can't" I said as I shook my head from side to side. "SIR DROP YOUR HANDS TO YOUR SIDE".......I tried to explain that my button had popped off but of course she could have cared less....."Sir step aside into this area"......so I had to step into a waiting area, while she waned me, then I showed her where the button used to be....told her I was just trying to keep from having to bend over to pull up my pants.....She failed to see the humor in the situation....finally She retrieved my belt for me and allowed me back in line to collect my belongings!

My thought is that Kirk is eating toooo much of Tony's cooking at the restaurant. Popping buttons is a trademark of eating too many ribs and desserts.

This is why my Grandfather always wore supenders with his belt. I think we should get Kirk a pair of supenders so he won't lose his pants.

I like the suspenders idea...someone should have given him a pair for his 50th birthday...

I'm not sure which is funnier...the pants story or the clothes overboard on the last cruise!!! I think I will stay clear of Kirk on any trips in my future!!!!

But so far Kirk has not dropped a dish of food on any of us. The closest he came was one Sunday we were there after church and a thing of Thousand Island dressing fell off tray and landed on floor beside me. Floor was slippery after that.

Just keep asking for straws and take-out containers. Don't ever ask Kirk for a knife.

From Tony Gore's newsletter:

Hey Everybody!
I wanted to give everyone an update
on Keith's parents they are doing ok…just a slow recovery….his mom's
leg is infected so she is having to deal with that. They wanted to
thank everyone for their prayers and ask that you still remember
them.

We had a great time in KY this past weekend! Jubilation only had
about 20 seats left from a sellout! The night was electric…it was on!
We had a great time and I enjoyed singing. Jubilation did a fine job
singing and I just love The Booth Brothers…their harmony is
incredible and they are so nice to work with…they are great!

H-O-T!!!! That's what it is here this week in TN! We have been very
busy this week…seems like more people are in town this week. I guess
people are waiting till the last few weeks before the kids start
school back to come on vacation….don't forget us if you come to the
mountains! We got some good cook'n waiting on ya!

There is no meet and eat scheduled at Tony's BBQ that I know of. Hopefully somone will schedule one soon.
Aug. 2nd Mull concert at New Hope church and GV last concert with Jason that same night in Morristown should bring lots of people into the area. And surely y'all will be stopping at Tony's BBQ to eat before these concerts. Hope to see y'all soon.
