I like IU in basketball but not football.........In football it is the Irish who make me smile........well at least most of the time LOL
John_o might be the one you are thinking about liking IU football........the school is near him.

I wasn't really thinking about anybody "liking" or "not liking" college football... just hearing them say "...and Minnesota is playing Indiana in college football... coming up next..." made me think of you. And since I am in Minnesota and you are in Indiana, it would be good for razzing if I cared who won or not...
lol, that doesn't make any sense, when I think about it! Which makes me smile, laugh actually, because it doesn't make sense, but anyway, I thought about you...  what a rabbit trail!!!!!!!!!!

She probably got it from your loveable spirit, a God fearing and loveable woman is a beautiful
woman, that's what my spiritual "Grandma" at church always tells me if I try to say that I'm not

LOL, now I know you aren't thinking quite clearly... the dress was raspberry pinkish, not red. lol!

I can't help smiling today.........God is so funny........he cracks me up.
As some of you know I have had my eyes opened about math........a subject which has been a huge contributor to me believing I am stupid has been debunked........I now realize I am not too stupid to understand math I was just never taught the rules or functions which make it easy.
Last night, after doing over 100 problems and only missing 1, I was on top of the world and feeling quite intelligent I must say...........
As I was packing up my computer to go home God and I were having a little discussion and I was sharing with him how easy the problems were and how I am not stupid after all........he laughed commenting.........and how many times have I told you that before Dawn? LOL
I explained to him how I have to do it step by step......even the littlest step, which might not seem important, is important for me to take because when I do it small step by step I always get the correct solution but when I try to skip working through on off the steps I usually have to go back and repeat a step or two.........
As I was explaining this to him he made a comment which stopped me in my track..........he said......The circumstances in your life, those things which you think are so difficult......they are just a big, complicated equation, that when broken down, step by step, can be solved. Why do you get so caught up in how hard the equation looks and try to do it on your own when following my rules and allowing things to function as I designed will make it easy as I lead you step by step to the right conclusion?
I was dumbfounded.........why do I do that? why did I do it with math.
When I first signed up for this program at work........I had to take a huge test to qualify.........on the fist part of the math, which was mostly story problems, percentages, geometry and basic math I did well but the Algebra section........I looked at the questions and knew I was going to fail that a part..........nothing about the equations made sense........and frankly I could care less what x,y, and z was equal too.........I plowed through it trying to figure out the answers on my own, following no formulates, not realizing there were certain truths which when followed always resulted in a correct answer............at the time you could show me that a(b+c) =ab + ac.......but I would not have a clue how to plug that into a problem and why such a simple truth would even matter.......thankfully I passed with a score which at least allowed me in the problem.......how I have no clue......even looking back on the problems I still can't tell you how I figured out the answers as I did........thank God it was multiply choice.
Now only three short weeks of classes and my confidence level has soared and math makes me smile............because I no longer look at these huge, complicated, long problems with confusion and frustration.......instead I look at them with excitement because I know as long as I follow what I have been taught, take the time to go step by step, and pay attention to the little details......this huge mountain of a problem is conquerable............it makes me smile.
I look at the things going on in my life.......the circumstances which seem so huge, complicated and unresolvable.........I get overwhelmed and find myself plowing through them trying to figure them out on my own trying to make sense of what and how I am suppose to resolve them..........when all I really need to do is use the lessons God has taught me, all the truths he has revealed to me and day by day walk based on those truths and I will eventually find myself exactly where I am suppose to be at the end.
And you know what..........with the math problems as long as I don't focus on the equation but instead focus on each step......I find I enjoy the journey as well and have such a sense of accomplishment when my answer is correct...........before even if the answer was correct I didn't feel any satisfaction, actually more frustration, because I had no idea why it was right nor if I could do the same problem again and have it be right the next time as well..........but when you work through a problem step by step you have this new confidence and excitement because you know you have faced the equation and come out on top and never again will you be defeated by that equation..........lol
I love that in life God doesn't just give us the answers nor does he ask us to walk through life trying to figure things out on our own and hoping our final answer is correct.......no he gave us laws (not to be confused with rules) in which he and his creation function........and as long as we allow him to teach us how to best walk in alignment with his laws........his desire for us.......his guidance.........and we do so step by step daily, paying attention to how he designed us to function best and how he uniquely gifted each of us, paying attention to the smallest details and not trying to miss out on a step........the end result will always be pleasing the him and to us as well.......
I smile at God the mathematician and best teacher a gal could ever want..........
