Shar-Mar, what does that mean????? Donna, back in the olden days anyone could give stars for posts; 5 being the highest (and had a "point value" of +2)
However, some people quickly started abusing the privelge and assigning one star to posts of people they didn't like (one star has a point value of a -1.
So the privildge was taken away from the general public and now only moderators can star posts.***
So, when I told Sam, that I wanted him to get a double dose of 5 stars, I was saying that I wanted 2 moderators to each give him 5 stars on that particular post. 
*** The exception to this rule is that anyone with a Blog here BlogTowne (another folder of these forums) can star anyone eles's blog.
That's fun! 
I never give negative stars, but I love to give 5 stars when the occasion calls for it. 
Disclaimer: Just because someone asks for a post to be starred doesn't mean that a moderator is obligated to do so.
But it still is fun to point out posts that are star-worthy.

The Geezer threads and the Alphbetical artist list will get me for sure. And the Geezer threads only last about 2 weeks, so when it gets time to delete those, every 2 weeks I will get hit hard.
