If you feel it is a sin, repent and don't to it anymore and know that you are forgiven by God. And if you feel strongly that you have a mark of sin on you, then go have it removed.

I had a tattoo removed using a chemical peel. It did burn/sting and took several treatments...but, it is a cheaper alternative to laser treatments. Google TCA peels.

It's just a reminder that you're human and you mess up some times at least it wasn't a skull and cross bones or something like that.

God has forgiven you. And you need to accept that. You may have regrets, and within reason, but I wouldn't worry that much. Professionally, unless you are into modelling (probably not, lol) then I wouldn't worry because you can always cover it. You feel like you messed up, and as long as you don't let it, it won't keep you from God. nothing should keep you from God. Get your spirits up. It gunna be alright. And, at least its a cross. : )

I wouldn't get one, but I don't think anything is wrong with it. But I know a lot of Christians look down on it. But if you want to get it done, then go for it. You should ALWAYS pray first at least though, before making a big decision like that! But you already did it, and if you do feel guilty over that (it's from Satan), but if God's convicting you of it, you need to just ask for forgiveness if you are a Christian :)

Exactly. To keep my point short and sweet: If you feel you have sinned, ask for forgiveness and repent (turn away from doing it). If you don't, don't worry too much about it. Even if it is a sin (which, although it's not a pleasant thing, I'm not sure it could be called sin), it's not as if you've committed the unpardonable sin. So long as you ask forgiveness, repent, and hence turn away from doing such things, you're in the clear. And as others have said, it IS possible to have it removed if you feel like doing so. Consider carefully and get medical advice before doing so, though.

quote:
ORIGINAL: Ephesians4_32 Leviticus 19 NIV 28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD. For a proper understanding of this biblical quote, and all others, one must be sure to consider its context. In Old Testament times, tattoos were used by pagan peoples in order to appease, please, or protect themselves from their pagan gods. I highly doubt that your intention (though you admit it may not have been a Godly one) was to ward off pagan gods by getting a tattoo of a cross. If it helps at all with your anxiety regarding your tattoo preventing you from getting a job, I'd encourage you to be honest and upfront with your prospective employer. During or before the interview, inquire about company policies regarding tattoos, and feel free to show them the one you have. They may ask that you wear long sleeves or cover up your tattoo. If that is the case, or if they decide not to hire you, remember that you are required to walk out the consequences for your decisions, whether good or bad. In some cases, God will grant you grace, and in others, He will build your character. Blessings!
