Jae, that's awesome!! ((((Maggie))))). I'm sorry about your sister and mom. Thanks so much for posting that quote! I'm so tired! We just got home, we spent yesterday, last night, and today in Branson. We had a great time, but when I got home I had a bill in the mail from an anesthesiologist. My c-section was 19 MONTHS ago and this particular guy was supposed to appeal to my insurance. I hadn't heard from them in a YEAR. I was hoping it was all resolved. My insurance refuses to pay because they say he "wasn't necessary", he was the supervising anesthesiologist, I had a nurse anesthetist actually attending to me and giving my spinal, etc. I think it's unfair for stuff like this to happen to unknowing patients. This anesthesiologist technically didn't do a thing to/for me in the OR. But he wants to get paid. He was supervising. I understand. But was I supposed to be there on the operating table asking each person "What are you doing in here? Are you really necessary? Will my insurance cover you? OK, get out". They are billing me for the full amount, BTW. I"m calling my insurance company first thing Monday morning to find out what happened with the appeal.

Maggie that is sad about your sister! I hope she will find God :) I had the worst night sleep nearly I think. Nath went down at 9.30 I went to bed but couldn't sleep. He woke at 12 and I had slept maybe an hour all up so far. Fed him, then he woke again at 1.30 screaming. Went to him, got him to sleep after he burped, then he was screaming again. Then miss Grace decided to go into the lounge where her uncle was sleeping and turn the tv on thinking it was morning time. So I woke hubby up and asked him to go to Grace, he was furious at me, but how am I meant to deal with two screaming kids? Anyway, Nath didn't go back to sleep til about 3am, then he woke again at 6, fed again and then woke just after 7.30. Man I am soooo tired and sick of this. Hubby isn't really talking to me, he thinks Nath is just hungry and its not wind at all and thinks the lack of sleep shouldn't bother me so much. Easy for him, he hasn't had 10 months of sleep deprivation. Grrr. BIL is going home tonight, and hubby starts his new roster this week doing 9 dyas straight, please God have mercy on me this week and help him sleep better!! edited as there was a typo which was nicely pointed out.

We had a son that was born with a minor "problem." The insurance wouldn't pay for it because they said it was a pre-existing condition. I asked them how it could be pre-existing when he was born with it, and they said that they had reviewed it and that was their final decision. He was in the hospital in 2005, and we still haven't paid them in full. Ridiculous! I know how you feel. Hope you can resolve this. Well, I have my toe taped, and that makes it hurt like 10 times worse....with it taped, it even hurts when I'm not applying any pressure to it at all...when I'm sitting. Argh. Hubby asked me to move the car this morning, and I just looked at him like "Huh?" He said, "Oh, nevermind, I'll do it." But then I still had to move it back to the carport after he left so as to get it out of the sun...that was my first walk outside in days...since this happened anyway...it was nice to be out there, but walking on the paved carport and driveway hurt so much...I was wearing his shoes since I can't wear my own... Hubby has planned something for next weekend for my birthday since we didn't get to do anything this weekend because of my accident. Lord willing, I will be back to normal by Friday. Our boys got two fish...one each...for their birthdays. We just brought them home yesterday. They are betas, and they are SOO awesome. It's a tank that has a little piece in the middle to separate them, but they still see one another, so one tries to attack the other all the time. Anyway, anyone have fish here? The water was really clean until we added the rocks. I cleaned them with cold water like it said on the bag, but obviously not good enough. Hubby was in charge of the tank, so he put the water in before the rocks, which wasn't the best idea...and then thought of dumping the water out, then putting new water in, and he didn't want to do that either because the water had finally gotten to room temperature. The water just keeps looking more and more foggy to me....it's not terrible, but it's not clear either. Should I try to dump the water and add more now? Do I always have to wait until the water reaches a certain temperature before adding the fish back to the water?

Posting almost blind.... Praying for Brian Sarah. That's horrible. Please let us know when you hear something. We're mooching off the school's wireless for now, so the internet is VERY slow. Not sure when we'll be asking Comcast to come out. So, I'll probably only be on occasionally since it took about 20 minutes to get to this thread. OK, gotta go to the old apartment to clean.

Lifting Donna, Brian, and their family up in prayer! Rachel - I had a similar, but different experience with insurance and the anesthesiologist. I was at the hospital in the middle of the night and this particular anesthesiologist was the only one on call. Granted I had a vaginal delivery, epidural was not "necessary", but I had no option as to who did my epidural. We had no clue we should be asking are you covered by our insurance. We figured our insurance was going to cover it, but not long after he was born we got stuck with $1,500 epidural bill. We tried to fight it, but there was nothing we could do about it so we had to pay it. We have switched from PPO to HMO which in the end we pay less for insurance and all of that will be covered next time. Hunter has been a sick little boy this weekend. He has ran a fever on and off since yesterday morning. He has been laying around and just not his energetic self. I am still associating it to his vaccine he had on Wednesday. He is doing a little bit better today, but he is in his crib playing at the moment when he should be napping. I am trying to avoid going in there and getting him because he needs his rest and mommy needs some down time. He is not crying, just talking and playing so he is just fine. I had to sleep in the guest bed with him last night so sleep wasn't that great and we stayed home from church this morning. Hopefully he is back to normal tomorrow!

UPDATE! Brian broke is left tibula and femur along with his left arm. He will most likely be having surgery for those today. Right now he is getting a CAT scan to find out if there is anything internal.
