John, I am not judging.

You have judged me countless times... In this very post you do so...

I don't judge them as wicked and not a Christian like you do.

They judge themselves and the bible is clear the body of Christ is to remove those who don't repent...

Second, I don't understand how you can say with such certainty that government would make everything worse - have you lived in another country that has some form of universal healthcare?

I think it's probably because people are looking at what else the government has "messed up" here. I know plenty of people who loved universal healthcare in their countries (as compared to the US, where they now live and think the healthcare system is worse). I know one person who decided to move back to his country for their healthcare system.

I know more that hate it...

John

I know more that love it

My guess is you know more people who want others to pay their way through life...

Not necessarily. But Liza, I will say that not all countries with universal healthcare are equal... I believe that's a large part of the reason why I know people who hate the way their country did it, but then others who loved the way their country's system was set up and are willing to go back to it as opposed to the US. I (personally) don't know any lazy bums (or hard-working individuals) who want the government to pay for healthcare so they can have it made, just because they want it. Not everyone who wants universal healthcare just wants someone else to pay for them or to become a mooch. But I guess if that's the way you think about it, that's the way it is in your world.

Why do they want others to pay for their health care...

It's the way it is... There is an ever growing group of people who believe in entitlement...

John, I have never judged your morals, if you are a Christian, or if you are evil and wicked. You have judged morals on those that you do not even know; you have said they are not Christians when you do not know them, and you have judged them evil and wicked. This is something I refuse to do. Again, if you feel comfortable with this - go right ahead. I do not.

Peace and God bless,

Yes, I know. I would just like our country to maybe do what Taiwan and Japan did - heavily research other countries with some form of universal healthcare, and find the best of each.

And well said! I have excellent health insurance myself - but I want to see the same for the hardworking 45-47 million Americans without health insurance.

Peace and God bless,

John, I have never judged your morals, if you are a Christian, or if you are evil and wicked.

To claim I bear false witness is a moral judgment...

quote:

You have judged morals on those that you do not even know; you have said they are not Christians when you do not know them, and you have judged them evil and wicked.

The person in question outwardly supports evil things... Something you have not and cannot refute since it's common knowledge and the person confesses that he does.... So your charge against me is false and not a righteous judgment.

quote:

This is something I refuse to do.

Yes, you refuse to judge a righteous judgment... You condemn me and in support of one who professing by their word and deeds evil things...

quote:

Again, if you feel comfortable with this - go right ahead. I do not.

Actually you do... And in the very post you claim not to...

John, I have never judged you morally no matter how many times you say that I have - I have never questioned your Christianity, your morals, or said that you are wicked. You, on the other hand, have morally judged plenty - if they are a Christian or not, if they are wicked. Again, go ahead, I will not do this.

Peace and God bless,

PS BTW, I am thru argueing this with you, John - and will not reply.

Frustrating, isn't it? :) It's rather easy to see what others are doing (or claim that they're doing something that they are not)... when one is doing the same thing him- or herself. Reminds me of Madea's Class Reunion (the scene when they're in the restaurant)... There is something you can do when people resort to judging you (other than reporting them).... just ignore them. Might make them upset, but it works great for me! Hehe.

Your own words conflict with above...

You said:

You claim I am bearing false witness against someone... Of course you don't speak to the facts since they don't favor your view of things...

That's who owns them... Do you have the deed to the property the school sits on? I love this... What's next? Edwards Air Forcs base isn't own by the government? It's really property of the people...

Explain yourself. Better yet, start a new thread before somebody starts with the "Now, now, children, we're off topic".

Actually, since the school is paid for with mostly my tax dollars, then yes, I do own a portion of the school. and since it is run mostly by a locally elected school board, I'd hardly call it "government" run. Sheesh. Some people will demonize anything just to make it sound bad.

What does a politician add to the economy - nothing. We pay their way though! A police officer could be said not to produce a valuable commodity but I help pay their salary. I pay for roads I don't use, schools my children don't attend, soldiers that don't physically protect MY HOUSE (IOW not stationed in MY YARD) and retired people through Soc Sec.

I am sure I can come up with a million other examples of how I am "paying someone else's way" through my tax dollars which annually go into five figures! I know I am not using that many services so I am paying for some poor guy to enjoy them! How unfair!

BTW, John you just convinced me to stop tithing to my church because that "freeloader" of a pastor is driving a car, living in a house and sending his kids to private school on my dime! The nerve!
