ORIGINAL: daisies4u I have seen in quite a few posts people saying that someone they know is saved but they are not serving God right now. Or, someone they know became a Christian years ago but they do not have relationship with him right now. This bothers me greatly. What exactly does that mean? Are they really saved? I guess it bothers me so much because this is becoming the "norm". I know so many people that say they are saved, but are not living the lifestyle of a Christian. Even on these, and other, forums. When people ask for advice, sometimes what they are being told makes my skin tingle. Is it just that we are all different and we all have different belief systems? Daisies 4 u, Truly only God is the judge, to whom is saved or not. Unfortunately man contiues to try and play that role. That one is saved, the other one is not and on and on. And judgemnent is made off of what they, (i) see, even you. Yes though it is true we shall know them by their fruit. But God is the true fruit inspector. My fruit inspecting is tainted, by me being human. and if you take a glass of water and put just one tiny drop of dye in it the whole glass is tainted, therefore I do not trust my instinct, I am learning to wait for God, being taught to be wise as a serphent and harmless as a dove. For me I have got to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling (hold myself) accountable. Then I read on and see for it is God that works in me, to do according to his good pleasure. So it takes in me first and foremost to belief in him. Not act like I believe in order to be liked by the group. So in essence just seek to learn the truth, and God himself, through the Holy Ghost will teach that to you. I like romans 14. It really says so much just in the beginning verses. Let every one be peresauded in their own mind, and you continue to grow in grace. ineffable love
