oh no!

There was a guy standing on the median at a traffic light panhandling for money so he could travel to Tx, his sign said something about a relative. I am skeptical, and I don't know whether or not to be offended at my skepticism.

I am further offended that i watch Animal Planet and they show that we all have all kinds of parasites living on and in us. Furthermore, they show that our foods have all kinds of stuff in them that would curl our hair -- even Kat's.

I seriously cannot watch shows like that.

Yes.

At the risk of offending...I'll tell you a little story. Once you dye your hair black, you're pretty much stuck with it. You either keep dying or you cut it off. Well. I got tired of having black hair, so I decided to grow it out and cut it off...but what to do with the roots? My solution was to overdye with various colors, which means the black will remain black, but the roots will be something else with a little more pizzazz than plain whatever color my hair is. (I really don't know and yes, that is offensive.)

Anyway, I did the blue, red, a nice magenta that I made from mixing the last of the blue and red, yada yada yada and finally found a delicious burgundy called "Egyptian Plum" made by Natural Instincts. (They still make it and it's still yummy.) Well, it's a temporary color and over the course of a few months I used three boxes of it as my black hair was getting more and more cut off. Enter box number four.

Box number four was mis-labeled or mis-mixed or was a cruel joke at the Natural Instincts factory because it promptly turned my roots orange. This happened at about midnight on a work night, so I had no choice but to take my Halloween-colored head to work the next day. And coincidentally, it was about a week before Halloween. Since everyone thought I did it on purpose, I just left it until after the holiday and then colored over it with a proper box.

It was quite offensive, even more offensive than the dreamsicle color my hair turned the first time I tried to bleach it platinum. But that is another story.

Stella, at least you made the best of it.

I'm offended that my friend can look so good in black hair...

Not offensive at all, I found it an interesting story. :)

I dyed my hair the Egyptian Plum once. It really "took" on the gray hair, so it was a lot more purpleish on the gray than on the rest of my brown hair. The next day I was sitting in the local restaurant minding my own business, reading the paper and enjoying my coffee, when some teen boy with ADD came up to my table, plonked himself down and asked if I had really intended my hair to turn out that color. I was not amused.

But I am.

Is that offensive?

There was a time in my life where I thought "blonder was better" so I proceeded with putting color over color until I ended up with "baby poop green". <about that color actually

It was quite offensive to everyone who had the misfortune of looking at me.

I'm also offended that I watched the baby all night and I hope that she doesn't get sick. Sick babies are always wearing their grumpy pants like it's COOL or something...

I'm offended by the toddler that threw up all over a table at the Chinese restaurant at lunch today.

...I'm EXTRA offended that it was MY toddler that did it. Sick children are not fun!

OK, all you sickos! None of you better get me sick or I'll be offended!

By the way, I think most of the folks where I work are sick right now too. I refuse to get sick though. Sickness offends me!

Kat, once while we were on vacation in Palm Springs, my youngest must have had too much sun because she was very listless and wouldn't eat her dinner at the restaurant that night. We had the waiter pack up our food so we could take her back to the hotel because we knew the inevitable was going to happen. As we were waiting for our car with a group of other people, she threw up all over a man's expensive shoes and slacks. Talk about offended!
