Y'all are not properly offended by my encounter with some kid I had never met before! Harumph!

I'm offended that I still have trouble trusting in God,even though he
has proved himself worthy of trust over and over again.

Now don't worry too much Nicky, even the apostles didn't get it half the time either.

I get offended by all these "labels" people feel they need to put on themselves, like badges.

SAHM, WOTHM, AP, DP, BF, TTC, NTTC, and on and on and on.

What ever happened to just being us?

What, are we supposed to introduce ourselves by our "super parent patches"?

Hi, I'm Kim and I am a WOTHM, NTTC, and I BF until the kids moved out.
I'll take that with a decaf mocha latte please.

It went out along with the days of when music was just music and not pigeon-holed at all.

I only know a couple of those. And I'm offended by that.

I'm a MWF, TX, SH, BCW, CO, NS, CG...that's all I can think of.
(I made some of mine up: Married White Female, Texan, Short-Haired, Black Clothes Wearer, Cat Owner, Near Sighted, Computer Geek.)

And another thing while I'm at it.

I get irked (another term for offended ) by the younger group of parents who think we older parents have NOTHING to offer.

It's everywhere anymore, how badly we parented, how we didn't know what they know now, how those "old wives tales" are harmful, blah blah blah.

Well, y'all survived didn't ya?

*I think my rant is concluded, however I could be mistaken and come back to unload again*

I get offended when people have general disregard for the rules on things:

Where it be people talking on cell phones on airplanes when told to shut them off. (I do not travel too often, but when I do, that irks me.)

Or in restaurants for that matter too.

Kids on skateboards, but especially in areas where it says they are prohibited as well.

HA! X2.

That's why I stay out of the Women's Folder...I can't keep up with all the abbreviations and what they mean.

ETA: I used to think Theo was the scariest folder, now I actuially believe it is Women's and Parenting ...you can get incinerated in there and someone always comes along to blow away the ashes.

I'm offended that you don't feel you can be offensive in this offensive thread. Afterall, that's why we're all here - to be offended.

Yeah everybody's too sensitive. I agree there are way too many support threads in those forums and it probably turns off some newbies.

Although there a few people that blow their gasket if you say you've ate a donut in the health and fitness threads

You ate a donut in the health and fitness thread??
Did you at least sweep up the crumbs?
Nothing offends me more than to have donut crumbs on the treadmill.

I was going to comment on Memaw's comment about the womens and parenting folders. But, I'd offend all the women and then they'd offend me for being so offensive. And then they'd tell me what I really think! Then we'd all be offended for being so offensive. My only defense at this time is to punt and put you all on the offense.

I have a feeling the women in this thread are not the same women that post in the women's folder.

Was that offensive?

I'm afraid to post in the women's only folder because I have this paranoid fear that they might not all be women.

Just because.

Well Zamdad, you could have knocked me over with a feather, seeing you in here! I am not offended at that at all! It's nice to see you post here, in an only semi contentious thread.
