Hey, if that's the case, that they are the fastest to heal, then tongue piercings should be viewed as the most benign and straightforward, basic piercings to get, maybe, do you think?

Typically, tongue piercings are the fastest to heal.

That's an interesting and important point as well.

I guess it particularly refers to those tongue piercings which don't heal up well, right?

Do let us know anything more about it that you find out.

Take care.

Nope. The biggest danger is your piercer nicking a vein, but that is rare. The veins are pretty easy to avoid and that's why your piercer will lift your tongue up and look underneath...you can see them all there, if you go look in the mirror. Also, placement depends on the webbing. I don't have much of a web and my jewelry is pretty far back. My co-workers didn't know my tongue was pierced until about two weeks ago when someone noticed it in a staff meeting. I've had that jewelry for 10+ years and I've worked here for two years!

The mouth is designed to heal rapidly. God did that on purpose, I think.

So your tongue stud can keep quite inconspicous as well?

That's interesting as well. They didn't even notice for 2 years.

Tongue piercings? No.

My dd wants a few more ear piercings... and we have talked about getting our noses pierced together for my 40th birthday (she would be two months away from her 18th bday) but it would depend on where I am working at that point!

Hey, a mother-daughter piercing duo thing, like a bonding thing!

(And you know you can get colorless retainers that are hardly visible.)

So is there a good parlor near you?
