Well I started out SBC (My grandfather and great grandfater were SBC ministers) stayed there untjil I was 12 and got saved at an SBC summer youth camp.

I also got Baptized in the Holy Spirit that same night; so I soon moved on to a full Gospel demomination.

blueshadow -> RE: The denominational church (7/12/2008 3:40:25 PM)

I'm currently going to a Foursquare church.

The others I have gone to include (from most recent to least recent):
United Methodist
Orthodox (American/Russian)
Episcopalian
Traditional Anglican Communion (into which I was baptized)
Beachy Amish Mennonite
Baptist

Before that I think my parents were taking me to various Bible churches. They belonged to a Plymouth Brethren church at some point when I was very young, as well.

Was the matter brought to the presiding bishop's attention? What was his reaction?

Lurker -> RE: The denominational church (7/16/2008 10:41:58 PM)

I'm a Byzantine Catholic. I attend St. Gregory of Nyssa parish in Beltsville, MD. I was raised Protestant but after studying the Scriptures and history, I realized that I had come to believe the Catholic Church's claims about itself and thus, didn't really have a choice. That said, I love it! I feel so blessed to be Catholic. And I honestly feel that I love the Lord Jesus more than ever. :)

I am currently with PC-USA. However, I am thinking about switching to the Presbyterian Church in America or going back to my old church (Christian Reformed Church). Because of the terrible decision made by the PC-USA to give in to secular pressure.
