Shabbat shalom, ta_mosquito. You said, quote:
ORIGINAL: ta_mosquito Retrobyter - see post 9, my response to Doublecross' post 5. (Did you read the responses in this thread yet?) I'd rather this not be about semantics. Of course I've read the responses in this thread, and it's not about semantics! It's about fabricated definitions, definitions that are more detailed than they need to be or should be, that gum up the Scriptures to the point that modern Christians can't understand the Scriptures for the rhetoric and the theories that get in the way! For instance, look at ChristianRink's definition of "anti-Christ": "An anti-Christ is someone who denies Christ as the Only way to Salvation." Where did THIS definition come from?! With all due respect to you, ChristianRink, if you are reading this, too, that is NOT the biblical definition of the term. It's not about "Salvation"; it's about whether one is willing to accept that Yeshua` came (1) as the Messiah ( = Christ) of prophecy, and (2) that He came in the flesh! 1 John 2:22 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. KJV 1 John 4:3 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. KJV 2 John 7 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. KJV See what I mean? Stick to the Scriptures, and you won't go wrong. Stray from the Scriptures into derived theology, and you will probably begin to find that things no longer add up. Retrobyter
