furrypurrykitty -> Problems with Lexmark Printer (7/12/2008 5:37:58 PM)

I recently bought and installed a Lexmark X125 All-In-One printer/fax/copier/scanner and it was working fine until one day when I mistakenly selected Shutdown from the properties menu on the icon in the system tray. I thought this would just turn the machine off, but then I started having problems with printing from the computer. I read the troubleshooting section and tried reinstalling the software, but then I saw that I had duplicate printers in the Printers/Faxes directory, so I uninstalled everything. Since then I've tried several times to reinstall the software, but it's just not working -- there's no program listed in the Start menu bar, no icon in the system tray, and no printer listed in Printers/Faxes. I contacted Lexmark tech support and they suggested restarting the print spooler, which I did, and then to reset the LexBce server. I discovered that LexBce server wasn't listed as a dependency in the Print Spooler dependencies list, and was told I needed to contact my PC vendor. I then went and searched for LexBce server on the Microsoft site and learned that it's a third-party application installed with Lexmark printer software. I am so frustrated at this point I could pull my hair out. I figure if I contacted Dell or Microsoft at this point, they'd just tell me it's a problem with the Lexmark printer software. Can anybody PLEASE PLEASE help me?
