Psalms274 -> RE: Salty Mucus. Or so I think... (7/31/2008 9:09:29 AM)

quote:
ORIGINAL: PopsiLufsJesus This might be strange, but lately I have had overly salty mucus or at least I think it is salt. It sort of burns like heartburn, but not quite as bad. Does anyone know what it may be? I would love you forever if you had the answer... And before the question arises...I do not eat hardly any salt at all! Actually I don't like it too much really. So this is really rather strange for me and I wish I could get the taste out of my mouth... If you are not drinking enough you may be more aware of the salty taste (when you are properly hydrated, the salt is not as concentrated in the mucus)... all mucus has Na, K and Cl which can form salt. I don't know what the burning would be ... if it continues to burn, see a doctor and get his/her input.
