Wow ladies! I go away for a long weekend and so much stuff happens! I've had a good read through of the last three pages or so, so here goes...

Kim, I'm so glad the roadtrip is going well! Sounds like the girls are taking to travelling like ducks to water!

NicoleCan, that "friend" of yours sounds a bit pooey, I must admit. What a cheeky thing to ask! You deserve to be treated much more politely than that, you are a sweetheart! And of course I will pray for Christi, poor love. Sounds like a really tough time.

NicoleAus, sweetheart, I am praying for you. This sounds like such a trying and stressful time with you, and I really think you are doing magnificently, and dealing with it with such grace. You go, girl!

Yolanda, I luuuuuurve blueberries! I'm so jealous!

Chelle, your book club sounds super fun. Thank you for reminding me, I've been meaning to find one for a while!

Sandy, poor Sissy! I am thinking of and praying for you guys!

Sarah, that T-mobile stand guy sounds horrid. I detest bad customer service!

Chelsea, what wonderful news about the photography. I did a big old happy dance for you!

Rachel, you are so wise, missy. Your advice to NicAus was spot on! Bless you.

Crystal, you poor thing with the peeler - I don't own one because I'm convinced they are out to get me! Hurray for orders though, and I hope the scrapbook comes together well.

Zippy, I think you're lovely, and your posts always read well.

And Jessica, that is SO exciting! I hope it works out for your sister

Phew...

I am having one of those days where I just can't seem to get on. I think this is being exacerbated by the fact I have to catch a train at 5 to go to Birmingham for a dinner party, which is lovely, but means I feel I can't properly get into anything this afternoon, because I'll have to leave a little while. Sigh. I hate underproductive days!

Hi Rachel!
That picture of Isabel and the dog was SO cute! I love her wild hair
And I am with the other ladies - you are a cool mom! I can't help but wonder if my boy would EVER lay still long enough to look at stars!

LOL! I didn't say mine laid still . . . . . . . .

Today I need to do a load or two of laundry, give the kiddos a bath and take them to the library and grocery store (getting ready to do that as soon as I finish my chai!). This evening I have a leadership meeting for our Bible study group, I'm so looking forward to it!! So I'll have dinner ready for hubby and kiddos and I'll leave as soon as hubby gets home from work.

Sandy, oh my!! Hope she is better soon! I'll pray.

Tommorrow Greg gets to the be the SAH parent. I have another all-day seminar for continuing education on my Engineer's license. Tomorrow's will be on plumbing, which I'm glad about. Spent so much time designing HVAC stuff that I often felt I didn't understand the plumbing side as well as I should. In November there's another seminar on steam.

So does Micah, but only because I have a class in the morning and MIL is busy.

Crystal, I love that page!

Sandy, I'm sorry Sissy is sick. I had asthma pretty bad at her age and remember all those illnesses. The only thing that saves me from Pneumonia is the vaccine... Praying she feels better today. Did they send you home with a nebulizer?

Good to see you, Jess!

Crys, make sure to scrapbook a page called "My Favorite Cuts of Meat" -- you know you want to. (Set your turkey leg down before scrapbooking, though, or you're going to get grease on the page.)

Ruth and Yolanda -- you MUST track down Dana (ncgrlnhisgrip). She would probably LOVE to talk shop with you two! She tests homes for Energy Star ratings (among other things -- too mechanical/techy for my simple brain).

Yolanda, I'm sure the lady from the power company already KNOWS when your electrician will be onsite. I mean, isn't that what you called her for?

Nicole/AUS: Taking care of your children's needs makes you a good wife, too. I just wanted to say that.

I would write more to more of you but I have to get ready (look purdy) as I am having lunch with my brother and my sister (and Adam) so I have to hustle it up.

I spent 3.5 years in a company that did a lot of energy audits for mostly commercial sites. That's where I got almost all of my business trips in. Good fun for back when I didn't have kids. I liked it a lot better then pure design, dealing with nasty contractors and everyone trying to blame someone else and save a few dollars.

If I was still at that job, I wouldn't have been nearly so happy to become a SAHM, but downsizing made the decision for me, and a few years in design work helped to curb my enthusiasm for the office place.

I still have fond memories of those energy audit trips, though.

Crystal (Am I speling that correctly??)- You scrapbook page is beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing... I am confused about why you can't use your gemstones and metal on it. The only valid answer to that is because it's a digital book.

Sandy- glad things are going better.

Nicole (Aus)- let us know what the doctor says about Nath!!

Nicole, soooo glad the blood tests are done! I hope you get those results soon! Lorne is just the kind of guy that likes to help out and make people happy. Maybe we could convince one of the rich dudes that owns a plane at his work to come pick you guys up.

Chelsea that is SO AWESOME!!!!

Yolanda, your husband has a dog? Or is it his families dog? Mmmm blueberries! I LOVE frozen blueberries! I would love to get that much for free! Yay for your house stuff starting!!!

Crystal, wooohooo for a huge order! Your front page looks perfect in my opinion!

Lexie, LOL yes it would be a bad time to tell me that! Haha you stinker! How is your wii fit going?

((((((((((Sissy)))))))))))) I hope she is okay now. Poor baby girl!

Jessica, that would be super cool if they did get married and she moved right near you. Tht would be soooo cool!

Thanks Claire! You are too sweet! Yeah, I wouldn't even consider her to be my friend anymore. We haven't been friends in 10 years and just because we emailed back and forth a couple of times 5 months ago does not mean we are all buddy buddy. I don't know why she even though I would be fine with that. How long is your train ride tonight?

Lorne has a prayer request

Grant and Paul from his work went mountain climbing this weekend. They were suppposed to be home yesterday, but no one has heard anything from them yet. And they were supposed to be at work today. Grant NEVER misses work without letting his boss know. Paul always calls their boss when he gets home to let him know they made it back so now Lorne's boss and the other workers are really worried. Lorne's boss got a message from an unkown person letting him know that they are starting a search party. Lorne doesn't know if it is an official search party of just other friends going out to look for them.

I hope they are ok.

Nicole - Poor Lorne has had a lot of that stuff to deal with lately. I hope they find those two guys safe and sound.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jessica

We just got home and we had a blast. We went to Monkey Joes and stayed for almost an hour, he loved it this time. It was a bit crowded with other SAHM and their children, a little overwhelming for me, but I made it. I get very intimidated around other moms that I do not know and I also get very anxious when Hunter is around other children in that type of setting. I am worried he will do something another child or another child will do something to him. One little boy was blocking him from going in one of the inflatables and smacking his hands, the mom was not around so I told him nicely to stop. At four years old this kid already had that look of disrespect for an adult...ughh! Regardless, of my weirdness we had a great time. I got on some of the inflatables with him that he couldn't do by himself so I got a work out as well. We picked up lunch and went to hubby's office, now Hunter is down for a nap.

I need to be productive today! I need to be productive today! I need to be productive today!

Hey, that's neat about Monkey Joe's, Chelle. (That Hunter had a good time, not the disrespectful little boy.) I'm going to Jeronimo next week, but another SAHM here recommended Monkey Joe's to me. I may have to try it out!

Ahhh - I love being on here
My house is clean, my boys are napping and my sister is sleeping... my blog is current and my other writing obligations are done for the day - so I feel FREE and I just love being on here

Nicole - keep us updated about those guys! Paul goes mountain biking and I know it can get a little rough. He always goes with a buddy or two - and while I don't know where they go almost all the men at his work and a few of the men from church know where it is (as they go with him at different times) so I feel safe knowing that if he's not home or I haven't heard from him in a certain time frame I can call one of them to go check on them.
One time I hadn't heard from him in four hours (he always calls me when he gets there, just before they start on the track.) I was kinda getting worried, as it usually only takes them 2 hours. I was SO close to calling one of his buddies up when he called me and told me they'd taken a different (longer) trail and they'd also busted one of the bikes and that guy had to walk the trail!
Anyways - I hope Lorne's co-workers are ok!

Chelle - we have a place similar to Monkey Joes (we have that too - but it's on the other side of town!) Anyways, the place we go to is almost always empty, so it's just us with Judah I love it!! It's $3 for him to get in, and then any amount of adults can get in for free.

Judah's awake now! I'm off.

TTYL, and sorry I couldn't respond to everyones posts!

Search and rescue called Lorne's boss letting them know that they picked Paul, Grant and the other guys up off a mountain. They don't know what really happened, but we all think it is due to weather. Probably snow or ice or both. I guess we will find out more when Paul or Grant calls them.

Glad they are safe Nicole!

Good heavens you ladies are chatty today! Have you managed to be productive today Chelle? I laughed when I read that because I had been telling myself the same thing all morning! So far so good! I have cleaned my kitchen, baked banana cake and muffins, read tons of books to Mary (she LOVES to be read to), showered and got ready! Yay!

Nope, not productive...this always happens to me after being on vacation. It takes me forever to fall back into the daily grind of keeping up with household chores. I will get there because my parents, sister, BIL, and nephew arrive on Friday and will be here until Monday.

Go Chelsea go! Mary is cute! I used to love reading to people when I was young. For show and tell in grade one I would read to the class.

Chelle, Lorne and my brother are going on a 3 night vacation this weekend. They are leaving friday and getting back monday evening. My parents are coming on saturday. And yes, this time they are coming no matter what. I have talked to my dad many times and he said they are coming for sure on saturday. I am sooooo not looking forward to being Lorne-less. But it will be nice to spend time with my parents alone. I don't think we have done that since I got married.

I hope you have fun with your parents even though Lorne will be gone. Hubby will be here with us so that will be nice to have the whole gang together. Hopefully we have beautiful weather so the boys can play together outside. I hate feeling couped up in the house all day, but THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE RAIN!!!

Hey Lexie (and Chelsea and Nicole) have you seen the commercial with the guy from Maple Leaf? What do you think of that commercial?
This is a sad situation all around... (link for those who don't know what I"m talking about)

Yeah, Nicole, I hope you have fun with your parents.

So Chelle, how did you enjoy the bouncy castle I've always thought they should have those for adults.
