I hope you feel better tomorrow, Nicole. Even though the trip is canceled, I am glad you will have Lorne with you all weekend! WoooOooOooO! Do you need Isaac to come over with his bug spank and knock some sense into your mom?

See, Rachel. I told you I'd be quoting him.

Are you supposed to stick with the same color schemes and stuff throughout a book, or can each page vary?

Guess I should have figured that out before I started?

Nicole I love you!!! I think you should send your dad an invite next time and leave crazy weather lady off

Crystal you can do whatever your heart contents with scrapbooking. I think each page is meant to have its own feel, that's how I have always seen them and done them. So you know if its a Christmas page it might be red and green, if it was a snow trip you went on, you might use blues and whites etc etc

I do the page design and colors to compliment the pictures on that page, even if it is different then the previous page. I do try tp keep the twp [ages that will be next to each other pretty similar or the same theme though.

That is the fun of scrapbooking you can do whatever you want. For me if an album is of a certain occasion or a 1 subject type thing I do use the same pattern paper throughout, just do it in different layouts. But, with Hunter's album there is so many different things I scrapbook that I wanted freedom so his pages are not all the same as far as color scheme goes. Hope that made sense I haven't been up long...Oh and I vote #2 as well. You are doing great!

Another gloomy day so far though there is no rain. It is all wet outside still from the rain we have been getting and I am dreading another day of being stuck indoors. I guess we will figure something out though.

Yep, he was slapping Hunter's hands. Hunter took it well and just looked at the kid like "dude what is your problem, chill out". His mother was busy having social hour with other mothers...but, I will stop there

Grr...I stopped going to the older kids playtime at our Early Years Centre because of this. Other kids were picking on Akeelah while the moms were sitting in a circle off to the side talking. Even when I would walk over to them and tell them to take their child, they would just look at me like I was overreacting. (Akeelah was only 1 at the time but the size of a 2 year old so everyone thought she was older. I would yell at the moms that she is only a baby and their kids are bullies for picking on babies.)

Nicole - sorry that things have become so complicated! Enjoy your long weekend with Lorne!

Well, today I'm taking the little ones to the park (Akeelah and the baby I look after). They're turning off our electricity for a little while to do some repairs, so no point sticking around here. I'm hoping I can get them very tired at the park so they come home and nap all afternoon in case the power isn't back on.

Have a good day everyone!

It would not matter if she was 2 it is still wrong in my opinion and the mothers should have done something. With Monkey Joes it is hard because there is no set time for little guys. I got looked at funny a lot to. Maybe because I was getting on some of the inflatables (when there were no other children on there) and having fun with my child instead of looking like a bump on a log or if that is just things moms do. This was my first experience being around a big group of SAHM that I did not know. It was UNCOMFORTABLE!!!

Thanks guys. I still can't believe I drove that huge fire truck! Now I can drive 3 out of our 4 vehicles...the rescue, the tanker and the chief's truck. I can't drive the pumper because it has air brakes. They are sending us all to get air brakes though. We are getting a new truck this year, it's a huge Freightliner fire truck. Chief says once I get my air brakes he's going to get me to drive that... Yikes!

Crystal, I agree too, I like the second one. The only thing I would change is move the photo up just a touch...Maybe so the top of the photo frame (the dark part) is just touching the middle of the flower that's just above it.

What are you using to make your pages?

It doesn't matter, just do whatever appeals to you. In my albums I like for facing pages to compliment each other and occasionally have picked a color scheme for an entire album, but generally speaking I allow each page to be different.

I like both your album covers. They are both balanced and pleasing. I think either one would serve the purpose and be lovely to boot.

Nicole (Can)- I'm sorry about your weekend changing!! I'm a little OCD and have trouble staying in others homes, so I am wondering if your mom is uncomfy when your brother is around. For example, does her bedroom change? Does her bathroom door have a lock on it? Is your brother kind about the noise he makes? If you have three bedrooms but she still feels like there isn't enough room for them it sounds like something odd is going on in her mind- something I can identify with. My brother and his wife bought a larger home last year. Because of the layout, I am very uncomfortable staying there. No joke- I would rather stay with my sil's parents than in my bros home because I am so uncomfortable in their new home. It's stuff that sounds silly to everyone else, but I am very wierd about where I sleep and being naked in a bathroom with others just outside the door.

Rachel - It's official, the fly swatter will ALWAYS but the Bug Spanker! Always!

Nicole(canada): I'm sorry they've disappointed you once again. Maybe it's a good thing! No drama from you mama through the weekend. I know your parents love you, hun. She's just stuck in her ways that unfortunately aren't healthy. I love you. :)

~~~
Today is a zombie day for me. Jadon had me up every hour - 2 if I was lucky - by 4:30am I just wanted to cry, scream, and cuss. Of course, I did neither, but I sure wanted to. lol. Jason was as sweet as he could be. He was about to tell me his famous line, "Just think - You can make up your sleep." But, I stopped him mid sentence and told him I didn't want to hear that! LOL
Still no period. Maybe my nurse was right?
I am not a Hillary Clinton supporter/liker, but I was impressed with her speech last night which shocked me. (SHOCKED me.) I am not looking forward to the presidential drama embarking on the USA.
Morning Ladies!!!
I don't often complain about Mary's sleeping habits because I know there isn't anything I can do about it right now (she is still up 4-5 times a night and always ends up in our bed) but last night she slept from 9pm to 4am!!!!!!!!!! It was WONDERFUL!!! I feel great this morning, it was just what I needed!
(((Jae))) I so know how rough it is to be getting up *all* night with your lo. I prayed for you as soon as I read that! Have I told you how ADORABLE that picture of Jadon is? I love looking at all your pictures, he seems like such a smiley guy!
I added a pregnancy countdown to my signature, sorry I didn't do it sooner Crystal . I wish we were allowed the cute baby tickers!
Dh's last day of work is tomorrow!! Then we have four whole days off together! I am super excited, I am going to bake him some more yummy treats today.
Try #2?
Sorry I'm 24/7 adoption talk. I'm a bit obsessed with this profile thing right now! No last initials... the birth parents won't know our last names unless we tell them ourselves.
Like that one much better!
Thanks ladies for the prayers and everything. Love you guys!
I HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST FOR MY COUSIN AND HER SON
Things have gotten worse with her ex. She just moved to a new townhouse and someone smashed in her windows with rocks and then burnt her car down to the ground. Her new car... She and her son were terrified so my aunt took them both to their grandma's place way out of the city. We don't know why, but now her ex has to pick their son up and drop him off at a police station. He had the nerve to threaten her at the police station and the cops did nothing. And then her windows were smashed in and her car burned down. He is psycho. I am scared he will kill their son to get back at my cousin or hurt him really badly. He doesn't care for his own life and if he is brave enough to threaten my cousin in front of police I know he wouldn't care if he was sent to jail. So now they are trying to get the courts to give her custody and keep that man away, but if they don't put him away we know things are going to get worse. The cops are doing nothing and the courts are doing nothing. She is living in a nightmare that she can't get out of.
Crystal, I like the idea of having every page look different. That way when whoever is going through your book they can look forward to what the next page holds.
Ok ladies, I'm about to call the phone company this time. I'm going to ask if I can have my internet switched to my MIL's house for a couple weeks while we renovate...
I wonder if they know if my computer will be there that day?
Justice is 10 weeks?! Wow! That's so cool!
I know... my cousin is living a nightmare and she will keep living this until she decides she really needs to change the way she lives her life. I feel bad for her kid because he is right in the middle of a terrible mess that keeps getting uglier. I hope something changes before something really bad happens. I don't even know what to say to her anymore...
Yup, it can vary by page and the photos. I usually try and pull out certain colors in the photo depening on what the photo is...
Chelsea, I love those sorts of tickers. Well... you already know it's the kind on TBW.
NicoleCAN, does your cousin have a restraining order? What a bad lifestyle to have to escape.
I had class again this morning, I think I need a bigger pen or something so my hand doesn't cramp after the 8 pages of notes I end up taking. Micah watched Gabby this morning because MIL was busy, unlike her he let her take a nap so no down time for this mommy. Fortunately(or unfortunately) this class doesn't have any homework but it will have a TON of studying involved.
The weather here is gorgeous, which is good because it always puts me in the mood to clean. Micah and I have been having serious issues over the lack of cleaning I am doing and a couple other things. I hate marriage growing pains, but I am thankful that I have the husband I do
I'm listing to this song right now, and feeling the need to share it, I thought it might encourage somebody today...
