ROFL Jeanie, you crack me up!!!

Goodness Ryanne, I wouldn't go back to 17 for any amount of money! Are you having issues registering for school?

Good luck with your cleaning Chelle, I'm jealous you get to spend the weekend with your family!

I am loving your grandparents page Crystal! It takes me forever to design a page still too, I am just too indecisive!

Today is the day!!! Hubby's last day of work!! We get four whole days together starting tomorrow!!!!! It has been a looooooooong 9 days! Unfortunately it looks like it is going to be a busy four days but that's okay, at least we get to be busy together! I am going to try and have another productive day so the house is nice and shiny for when he gets home.

Now off to hunt down info on Donn!

Ryanne, you'll pass. You know you will.

Did you really mean you want another baby before Gabby is 15 (fifteen) or is that a typo?

HI JEANIE!! I'm here for a short bit. I'm praying for the baby and momma!

Ryanne - I concur with Jeanie. You. Will. Pass. !

Chelle - you go girl with the cleaning!

Crystal - I love that page!!!! You are doing an amazing job!

~~~
I feel so puny today. I "think" my period is on it's way. I've just been asking the Lord to let it come if it's going to come. I'm tired of the limbo. I'm cramping and my legs go from feeling numb to cramping. Thankfully Jadon isn't fussy today. I'm just hoping he wants to sleep soon so I can nap with him. I plan on going to my MIL's this afternoon to have another pair of hands to entertain/hold Jadon. He is such a good baby, but he doesn't want to be on the floor all day long. He wants interaction.
Just sarcasm I would like another baby before she is 4, which works nicely with our plan for me to start nursing school fall of '09. I just have to choose where to go.
Chelsea, YAY for your DH being home!
Oh, okay. Because you can just wait and have a kid when you're 42. I hear people do it all the time and have some really nice and cute little boys when they do!
Are any hospitals in your area willing to pay for your last 2 years of school if you will contract to work a few years with them upon graduation? I ask because DH has family friends whose daughter is a nurse admin in your area and about 5 years ago she was telling DH and me to come on out to CO and we'll do that for you.....sounded like a great deal! Nursing was my original major in college but I'm not sure I have the stomach for it.
Yes, Chelsea, that's awesome about your DH being home!
Jeanie, do you happen to know the name of the hospital? I have been searching high and low for those programs, but the only one I can find is government sponsored. Which is fine, but it's hard to get accepted into the program, and it's based on need.
Add lots of prayer in there, too, that God would unify your hearts on the issue in one direction or the other.
Thank you Jeanie
I know that I should be satisfied with the 4 I have and its not that I'm not its just I don't know.
Sometimes it feels so selfish to want another one when I already have 4.
I am here, just making phone calls and trying to track down information for school. I hate making large, life altering decisions. Can I please be 17 again?
Oh, I know how you feel. I don't have specific advice about nursing school, but I've felt your pain. I was so nervous when I got the P.E. license, because that mean that if I put my stamp on a drawing, and something went badly wrong, I could be legally liable.
Now, I've never stamped anything unless I was comfortable with the integrity of the design, but I'm human, it's possible I could've missed something. But all I can do is my best work, and leave the rest to God.
Chelsea, glad you have your hubby home for a while. My dad comes home today after a long business trip. Mom has no children at home, but she misses him when he's gone. She did come to spend last weekend with us, to help pass the time.
Ryanne - That is a tough decision!
Chelsea - Glad you are enjoying your hubby being home
The livingroom, nursery, and dining room are clean. I am going to put a load of laundry on, scrub the kitchen top to bottom, and sweep/mop the foyer. Tomorrow will be bathrooms, bedrooms, and office/playroom.
I did run to the local consignment shop and they had two Graco carseats for $28.50. But, I got to thinking about not knowing if these car seats had been in a wreck. I just could not get peace about purchasing a used car seat. So we ran to Walmart and I found a basic car seat (Cosco brand) for under $50. It is just to have an extra carseat to keep in hubby's car so we can use his car more and for him to be able to pick Hunter up from Parent's Morning Out program some too. So, hubby gets paid tomorrow so sometime next week we will go pick it out.
Well, I have more cleaning to do while the lil' guy is sleeping...
I don't think I'd go back to 17... but 18/19 I LOVED!!
These are good years too, and I am very happy, but remembering back to "the good old days" always makes me think of age 18/19.
Jeanie - feel free to converse with yourself any time. It's amusing. And Adam is a cutie to look at over and over.
I need to switch my picture to one of my boys. Did y'all see the one my sister took of Wesley sticking his tongue out? It was on my blog a couple of days ago. The picture makes me laugh.
Crystal - love the second page! Good job What size are you printing the scrapbook off as?
Today is my last full day with my sister. I ran around and did a ton of errands this morning. This could very well be the last day I ever buy groceries. Unless someone else comes to live with me. Just kidding.
I am kinda looking forward to it being just us again. In fact I am very much looking forward to it being just us. Paul has 6 days off starting Saturday, so it'll be nice
One of my closest girlfriends parents are missionaries in Zambia. The mom works with street girls, trying to help them find a way to make money other than having sex. One of the "projects" they do is make handbags. I told the mom I would attempt to sell some of them for her, and today a bunch of them arrived in the mail! They're pretty cool and I think they'll sell!
So now I just have to decide how to go about selling them.
Ohhh - you know that guy who I was trying to set my sister up with? He likes her. And she likes him. He took her on a date this week for coffee. Paul and I think they're totally made for each other. They're both news junkies and I think would compliment each other well. They are both tenderhearted, thoughtful, sweet people.
I am trying to not get too excited about this.
That is exciting, Jess!
Chelle, we probably have the same seat(Cosco Scenara) at my parents house and it works well for a back up seat.
What's weird is the Scenera is less than $50 in the US, but over $100 here ... and even though they are identical, we can't use US seats in Canada because of insurance and other stuff ... basically if we're ever in an accident and have a seat not purchased in Canada, insurance won't cover any injuries, etc. on the child who was using the 'foreign' seat. (Even though the only difference in the seats is the safety standards sticker ... because the seats are made in the same factory and then shipped ... grr ... more than double the cost because of a sticker!!!)
It works well as a regular seat too. Except the stupid cupholder! That's the one we have.
Jessica, are you going to show us the bags? I'm printing the pages as regular sized pages - 8.5x11... we have to have multiple copies made, so they need to be cheap.
Lorne told me what happened to the 2 guys from his work that were "lost" in the mountains.
Well, they weren't lost. They just got stuck in a really bad storm that started with rain, then freezing rain, then 12 inches of snow. They were stuck near the peak of a mountain and couldn't get down. One guy went down too far and got stuck so he had to sleep on his own about 60 feet below the other 3 guys. He was stuck in a very steep area that he couldn't climb up again. Two other guys were with them and they got down before them and got help. A lodge nearby could see them with a telescope so they could see how they were doing which was nice. Anyways, they ended up having to sleep in a cave (the one guy was pulled back up by the other 3 so he wouldn't be stuck alone). It got so windy that their blankets got all torn apart. Eventually a helicopter came and they had to hook themselves and their gear to a rope hanging from the helicopter and were flown back to the lodge. They couldn't get down on their own because they were exhausted and bruised up. They were both hungry and dehydrated because the trip turned into 4 days instead of the 2 it was supposed to take. They stayed at the lodge for a day and people took care of them. They are lucky they didn't get frost bite and that they got home safely. The one guy said he will never climb that mountain again. I think he thinks he is in better shape than he really is.
She is in the NICU for now (small glitch with breathing) but doing well.
My husband's sister had a rough time and lost a lot of blood.
I mentioned to my MIL that I had people around the world praying for her and my MIL was visibly moved by this, so thank you!
Denver School of Nursing= $36k in tuition, no waiting list, 90% NCLEX pass rate will NOT work with federal grants or loans.
Arapahoe Community College= $15k (or so) in tuition, 2.5-3 year waiting list, 100% NCLEX pass rate
Denver Community College= $15k in tuition, not sure on the waiting list but don't think it's long(trying to get ahold of someone to ask), 70% NCLEX pass rate.
I am SO torn.
Honestly, I would probably go with Denver Community College, if it sounds like they have a decent program. I wouldn't put a ton of stock into the NCLEX pass rate. Honestly, the NCLEX is like no other exam you will ever take. But there are tons of books and CD's and even classes you can take to prepare for it. The price seems right, and it sounds like you would rather just start instead of being on a waiting list, right?
Congrats Jeanie on your niece, she's gorgeous!
MAN OH MAN! What a night!! Nathaniel is sick And I am mad at how he caught it. Friends of ours kids are always sick. They just don't use common sense or hygiene when it comes to sickness. They asked us over Monday night so we went, she failed to tell me her daugher had been off from school sick with a bad chesty cough, had been throwing up etc. I told the daughter to keep away (she's 7) but she kept going to Nath and I had to constantly tell her and her little brother who is 4 to back away. I didnt want to stay but what can I say "your kids are sick, sorry I am out of here?" plus that was when hubby and I were still at odds and it would of caused a MASSIVE fight. So now he is sick and was up all night with a temp and coughing. So I have had about 4 hours sleep altogether. I am not happy. I am very tired. Like we need this. Why don't parents think of other people and say "hey she's sick, just letting you know?" Next time I am going to ask if her kids are sick. Nath has only had one other cold apart from this.
And then I had this dumb nightmare that hubby was going to marry my mum, and noone would help me, and mum kicked me out and hubby didn't want to marry her once I spoke to him but she was forcing him to. ugh ugh ugh I hope my day gets better.
