People who lite up as they walk by the "this is a non-smoking campus, no smoking anywhere" sign at the hospital.

People who smoke around kids, especially in cars.

People who don't know how to talk to their children w/o yelling at them.

People who call their kids foul words.

"Mom cliques" at my kids' school - another reason why I'm happy to be home-schooling now.

People who brag. It's so obvious.

I see this a lot. Australia made a law that's illegal to smoke in the car when you have kids in there too. I think it's a good law. It's really not that hard to take the time to smoke before you get in the car or when you get to your destination. I'm a smoker for now (hopefully not for much longer) and it easily becomes part of the routine of going places.

Another HUGE pet peeve of mine....People who smoke weed in their home with children. I can't tell you how many neighbors I've had over the years that have a designated smoking room and the kids just walk right in there and see their parents smoking weed and cigarettes. I seriously hate that. And, the excuse...they want to have an open honest relationship with their kids. And, then they wonder why the kid has a cold all the time.

Another pet peeve....people who don't take care of their pets because they didn't realize what a big responsibility it would be. So, they keep them locked in a kennel or the bathroom constantly (not just for a short time for certain instances). I would love to have a cat again, but we don't have the money to be able to take a cat to the vet if he got sick, so we just go without.

Yes, I love that we have this law here in Australia. I am not sure how many people have ever been caught, but I am noticing less people smoking in their cars.

Drivers who inch up continually at stop signs/red lights instead of stopping.

Moms who "worship" their children and allow them to take top priority to the detriment of their marriages, relationship with God, and their own health. I am not speaking of a mother sacrificing for her child, but sacrificing things that need to have a place of priority so a mother can be a better mother.

Companies that don't train their employees in product knowledge or full company policy.

Littering, including dropping a cigarette butt on the ground.

Lying- no matter how mild and no matter who it's too. So, manipulation counts as does lying to yourself.

The church pretending problems are in every congregation and denomination but their own and that they have nothing to learn and grow into.

selfish parents ... who put relationships with other adults and work before their kids.

re: smoking in cars with kids ... Cali just started that law too.

anybody breaking a law. Whether or not you agree with it, the law is the law and it should be followed.

I've seen drivers who actually inch up to the middle of the intersection before the light changes.

Yep... and then they don't go when the light turns green.

This bothers me too. I don't see much of it in the secular world, but I see a TON of it in the Christian one.

Pet peeves... people who drive the speed limit(or under) in the "fast" lane.

People who think they will be struck by lightening if they drive faster then 45mph.

People who ARE NOT turning right who end up holding up a line of cars at a red light.

Hmm... what else?

Overweight children who aren't fed properly OR taught how to feed themselves properly. Add to that our public school system who claim they are feeding a "balanced" diet, and yet are not.

Rude people who bring their children to my house and leave it an utter mess. Since when do parents not teach their children to clean up after themselves?

"Homeschoolers" who really aren't homeschooling.

Being called a "hippy" because we eat clean and use all natural bath products, reusable grocery bags, etc...

I always thought being called a hippy nowadays is more of a compliment, still a label, but a compliment. Not like in the 60's where hippies didn't shower, listened to rock n roll and did LSD.

Depends on the way it's being used. From a fellow "crunchy", it wouldn't bother me at all but it's been used in derogatory ways to describe our choices. I don't care if you don't want to make the same ones, but if you don't have a clue why we have made them keep your mouth shut.

Which I guess leads to...

People who can't mind their own stinking business and feel compelled to offer their $.02 ALL the ever lovin' time.

I think it depends on where you live too. Here ... being called a hippy is a label that is good in some eyes, and bad in others. And IMO, it still means teh same thing it did in teh 60s.

Flies! They wont leave me alone today!

People who gossip.

People who say, "let's get together sometime", and then never call you. Why do I always have to make the effort?

People who have a counter comment to everything you say...I guess that goes back to the "know-it-all" thing.

Okay, now don't get mad at me...

This is not a huge pet peeve for me, so if any of you do it please don't get offended. I love reading all your posts, but it is sometimes hard to read them when it's typed out in one big paragraph, without any spaces.

You see, I was blessed with bad eyesight. When someone posts in one big long paragraph I have to practically put my nose to the screen and run my finger across it so I don't miss anything. Just had to share...

I hope you don't think I'm being nit-picky.

I was blessed with that too...I make the page huge (holding down ctrl button and hitting + a few times as needed). Still doesn't stop me from going on...and on....and ON at times though. lol. I put one thought in one paragraph cause that's how I was taught to write, so I never think to break it up more.....other then being annoying to others...and...putting.....lots of...... periods in a row........................... (hehehe)

The seasons thing for what colors people should wear, I'm sorry, I just really don't think billions of people fit into four categories. God made us more unique than that.

People who give hair/fashion advice I don't ask for..I have my hairdresser for hair advice, thank you very much, and if I have a fashion question, I'LL decide who I want to ask about it.

People who rudely comment to me on physical flaws I can't help. If I have lipstick on my teeth, yes, I want to know, but I don't want to hear about how white my skin is, or that my hair gets frizzy sometimes, or about that blemish that I am already too well aware of (and yes, I wash with gentle cleansers, and wash every day, use topical medication and try to eat right, etc. etc.).

People who are bossy.

People that insist college is for everyone. It's not.

People who are too quick too dismiss an insight I may have just because I am single and have no kids. And believe me, I try VERY HARD not to be one of those people who knows it all about kids when I don't have any, as I know it IS TRUE there are some things you never understand unless you are mother, and I try to not ever be critical of anyone's parenting, however, I have worked with countless kids for years, and I did learn a few things.

The run-on paragraph gets on my nerves too. Though I'm sure I do it myself once in a while.

I really really hate it when blogs/websites automatically start playing music/video/any other streaming crud that I'd rather have a choice on whether or not I'd like to play it. It scares the poop out of me when I'm not expecting it.

And for that reason ... I leave the sound off on my computer unless there is something that I specifically WANT to listen to.
