krazykatlady -> Endo/vestibulitis & bc pills (8/12/2008 4:57:56 PM)

It's been a long time since I've been here so please forgive the extended absence. I remember solosoprano has vestibulitis/vulvodynia..whatever it's called nowadays. I posted some here when I was first diagnosed. Anyway, I stopped the bc pill 2 yrs ago in Nov. Within a few months I felt really good. I've noticed since stopping the pill that my vestibulitis flare-ups have pretty much vanished. (I do the regimen as well: no scented anything, low oxalate if I can help it, no cokes, etc) I've had 1 maybe 2 infections in the past 2 yrs which is abnormal if you look at my medical history. So I did a search about bc pills and vestibulits and found some interesing info. You can read here: http://preventdisease.com/news/articles/painful_sex_pill.shtml I've been dealing with back pain since May. Every month when I start my period the pain is so severe that it's hard for me to get up & down, meds don't really help, etc. I've seen my family dr, a chiropractor, and now a new gyn. (My regular gyn now has too many patients and doesn't really listen anymore because of too little time) The new gyn says endometriosis. I have high bp and was told to take a progestin only pill - Micronor, which I took about 6 yrs ago. While on Micronor I ended up pg and it was ectopic. So I get to looking today online about Micronor and it says to be cautious in giving this to women with a history of ectopic pg. What in the world am I going to do?! If anyone has any advice at all I'm willing to listen. I'd even try another gyn if it would help but I don't think it will. Pill or pain I guess is my choice. The lesser of two evils.
