Who'd a thought it?

My little home town of DeQuincy, Louisiana was honored to be part of the "Live Across America" recording of the Hoppers. I've recently moved back to Louisiana, and when I heard the Hoppers would be singing in my old hometown, I had to go.

Immediately before the concert began, Dean came out to tell everybody the Hoppers had decided to include parts of that night's concert in their live recording which will be released later this year. It was not promoted as being part of the recording, but the capacity crowd was delighted to be part of a live recording!

As usual, the Hoppers performed with excellence. I'm looking forward to obtaining my copy of "Live Across America..." especially the part that was recorded....Live in DeQuincy!

I think that is such a neat idea to use recordings from various venues! I know I would be excited to be on one! (In fact, I have shown up in one of Greater Vision's DVDs, but we knew they were filming at that concert).

Question--did they have a live band there, anything beyond the usual piano / drums / tracks?

Piano, drums, tracks was it. Their instrumentation on their songs is amazing.

I keep thinking this thread says, "Live in Delinquincy" [8|][:D]
