Good Morning! Still snowing here in case anyone was wondering. It's 18º with a windchill of 14º.

Alabama is sounding more and more like paradise every day.

I like brisk weather but below 20º is just uncalled for. You'd think this was January.

Good morning!

Good Morning. Come on down Lioness. Then you would not have as far to travel to visit with the GC when she starts college.

I know what you all mean. I got this morning and thought "man it's cold" and went and put on a sweater. If this severe cold spell keeps up, I am going to have to find batteries for the thermostat so that I can turn on the furnace. Our low was 46 degrees last night!!! Our record low for this day in November was actually below freezing!!! (31 degrees)

Well, it's all in your perspective. Sounds lovely to me. But I understand.

Be careful there Dude. I told Mrs. Qtman when she turned 40 I was thinking about trading her in for two 20's. She said she was not worried about it because I was only wired for 110. You gotta get up early to beat those women.

HA! I LOVE THAT!!!! Mrs. Qtman is awesome!

That was absolutely beautiful!

Our low last night was 19*. At one point I had to take a shower to defrost. I hate it being this cold this early. I usually never break out the winter coat before Thanksgiving. I've donned coat, hat, gloves and scarf. Its gonna be a cooooooold winter!

I personally love it being this cold. I open my windows and wrap myself up in a large comforter like a burrito and put a tobbogin on and it feels just right. The more like a meat locker the better. The only drawback is when you get out of a warm shower into that. Whew. That'll let you know you're alive. There is no more cold than the cold you feel after first stepping out of a hot shower into a cold bathroom.

You better be very careful in THAT thread. I said the same thing here and then all of a sudden I found myself needing to run for cover.

Everything is much better now that I have left that thread.

I would say that you're a slow learner but that, thankfully, you CAN be taught...

...but you might not think that's funny so I won't say it.

No need to thank me for my extraordinary restraint. I'm just nice like that.

Moody, to me, a toboggan is a sled. I'm having trouble with the visual on this one.

No problem, and now that you and Phosey have come to the realization that I was right all along I wont need to worry about struggling to learn something new!

And see I have been taught to show the same extraordinary restraint; you have done well.

Right now it is -9C, or 15.8F, and I haven't even THOUGHT of hauling out the winter coat. I wore my gloves whilst scraping the ice off my windshield, but that was it (I was wearing a t-shirt with light spring jacket overtop ..)

I'm thinking of a wool hat that you put over your head. And I think I'm spelling it wrong too.

That makes SO much more sense than a runner-less sled on your head!

In fact, it makes so much sense it's hard to believe I didn't figure it out on my own.

I assume you were shoveling snow?

Do you know how excited I was to be able to shovel snow out here! I was about 11 and it snowed enough to really shovel snow, build snowmen, etc... But 30 years later it has never done that again.
