CarlaJames -> Purged Voter's Registration..Now what? (8/17/2008 10:28:21 PM)

My voter's registration was purged for not voting or updating my information. I've looked all over the internet and I can't find anything telling me what to do now. Do I re-register or do I have to do something else?
Thanks

If you want to vote, you have to re-register with your updated information.

They used to have voter registration forms at the Post Office, but I am not sure if they still do. (I used to carry a stack of them around with me and give them to people who weren't registered.) ut I am not sure if you have to do something special after you are purged or not.

It *is* important to keep your registration information current. It is easy in my state--you just fill out the new info right on your voter registration card and mail it to the address shown, and they mail you a new card in a couple of weeks.

you may need to go to the election office in your county to re -register. I had to do this when I moved to a different county.
