WhiteRoseBlessings -> RE: Damaged lip? (8/23/2008 12:58:05 AM)

heehee I thought you might appreciate that. [:D] I've been vacillating several hours on whether to tell you this or not . . . I think I will post it and let you (and others) decide whether to read it or not. WARNING: EXTREMELY GRAPHIC ALERT Because of the numerous grand mal seizures I have had, I have severely mangled my tongue on several occasions; and it's always in the same place. I do have some unique indentations (on the sides of my tongue from this; but they are not noticeable unless someone is purposely looking at my tongue while my mouth is wide opened). Also, I do have a bit of tongue "missing" because of where the wound always occurs. But considering the number of gran mals that I have had, the part that's missing is very, very mild . . . and again, barely noticeable unless one was intentionally trying to see it. But then, I don't get many requests for people to look at my tongue. I say all this, as a weird sort of encouragement . . . to let you know that, as others have pointed out, the insides of our mouths are extremely resilient. Hey, if I can maul my tongue as severely as I have done and have it repeatedly heal itself, your lip is going to heal quite beautifully; I'm very confident of that.
