Hmm...bathroom is still on my list!

They are turning off the electricity in our building for part of the day so my list won't be as long as it should be, but I got a lot more done yesterday than I had anticipated.

-clean bathroom
-tidy Akeelah's room
-sweep hall floor
-do online banking

I got the bathrooms cleaned! Yay!

Today I need to:

- Tidy up enough for guests as 2 different sets of friends may or may not come by
- Figure out what's for dinner
- Deal with the errant, and late in getting back to me, investment company
- Laundry. Always.
- Work on the tree control, but not the image processing because that locked up so I booted it back to the guys who wrote it.
- Do all the bills

I'm having serious motivation problems with this pregnancy. Last time, second trimester I felt great and had huge amounts of motivation. Granted last time that was after a first trimester of being so sick I couldn't eat and slept 14 hours a day, so I guess it evens out.

Lexie, don't feel bad. I was supposed to clean the entire house (bathrooms included) do the laundry and finish cleaning Jake's room to make way for an extra dresser. Instead, I took my kids to a water park. I am doing laundry and managed to get dishes done, but that is about it. Tomorrow is going to be very busy as I have to have the house ready for my exchange student. I know it isn't always going to be perfect, but when he gets here, he is going to be half dead and culture shocked so I would at least like the house to be free of clutter. I know that when my house or room is cluttered, I can't think straight in it.

So tomorrow, I need to do a ton of shopping, clean, clean, and clean. I did wash all of the laundry tonight so tomorrow is folding day.

Right, I need to get on it today. My plan?

* Do at least seven hours work in my classroom at school (kids back next week, need to be ready!)
* Do a load of laundry, put another load away
* Clean the kitchen
* Empty the "chair o' junk" (you know that chair where you throw everything when you get in late? )
* Send thank you notes to all the people who've kindly had me to stay over the past few weeks
* Pick up some pens and books and groceries
* Hoover/vacuum

Wow. It looks like it's going to be a busy day. Have a blessed one ladies!

LOL, it doesn't make me feel better Sarah! You have a 10 week old, you have a good reason...I don't! LOL

Actually I did get the bathroom clean yesterday. And it's a good thing I waited, because Dh came home from work yesterday and shaved his head. I always need to clean after he has shaved his head, even though he is very careful to stay neat, the bathroom needs a total cleaning afterwards. He stays bald or keeps his hair very low, so when he shaves, there are tiny, tiny hairs everywhere!

Today:
-finish tidying Akeelah's room
-tidy our room (since Akeelah seems to have just moved the mess there)
-go to the post office (if it's not raining)
-go to the dollar store

Today I must:

- Do all the bills. Urgently.
- Pack for our 4-day renovate-a-thon (I'm tired already just thinking about it. sigh. Hopefully we will get close to done, because I'm coming up on 5 months pregnant and I have about a month before I can no longer bend at the waist).
- Tidy up for not being here.
- Fold laundry from yesterday
- Double-check the 4 pages of algorithms from yesterday I worked to figure out which pumps to buy for the new heating system (for some reason, being pregnant messes up the "math" part of my brain. yargh.)
- Make sure the tomatos will last 4 days without my intervention.

I ended up five for seven yesterday, so two of those jobs 'rollover'.

Today's seven (I like seven. Seems much more manageable than ten, but still keeps me busy! ) )

* Empty the "chair o' junk" (you know that chair where you throw everything when you get in late? )
* Send thank you notes to all the people who've kindly had me to stay over the past few weeks
* Do another seven hours in my classroom
* Make a costume for my friend's anniversary party tomorrow
* Make sure I have cards and gifts sorted for tomorrow's christening and anniversary shindigs
* Ironing and check smart outfit for tomorrow's christening
* Pack bag for tomorrow

This thread is great for making me accountable

LOL...maybe next time we restart it we should call it "Daily Life Accountability Thread"...or when we start a new page change the title to that. (or I could just see if I can change the title in the original post still....lol. checked, I can't edit it now...oh well). I like that though.

I'm a list person, only it seems that since I started working full-time I just don't have time to make lists anymore.

Tonight before going to bed (it's already 6.15pm) -

- Wash J and X's sheets
- Wash dh's and my sheets
- Hang out all the washing
- Get J and X washing up after dinner (it's already cooking)
- Sweep the kitchen floor
- Make dh's and my bed and get the kids making theirs
- Sort all the clean washing so I can get all my baskets back to start all over again tomorrow
- Put clothes away
- Watch Australian Idol
- Tidy loungeroom floor
- Vacuum (so that first thing tomorrow morning I can shampoo the carpets throughout)
- Mop (so that the dirt from those floors doesn't get trekked onto the newly shampooed carpet)
- Get kids to bed

I like that that is on the list! (We're down to the final 3 in Canadian Idol.)

Today I need to prepare, prepare, prepare for the bbq tomorrow

-go through flyers to see what I can get on sale
-grocery shopping
-marinate chicken
-prepare salads
-prepare dip
-bake brownies
-pack up all non-perishable stuff
-call niece and nephew and see if they need a ride tomorrow
-do Akeelah's hair
-pluck eyebrows and give myself pedicure
-call sister for monthly "complain about our parents"

I didn't get as much done last night as I'd hoped, but that's because I stopped to watch 'The Count of Monte Cristo'.

quote:

- Wash J and X's sheets
- Wash dh's and my sheets
- Hang out all the washing

- Get J and X washing up after dinner (it's already cooking) half done
- Sweep the kitchen floor
- Make dh's and my bed and get the kids making theirs
- Sort all the clean washing so I can get all my baskets back to start all over again tomorrow
- Put clothes away
- Watch Australian Idol
- Tidy loungeroom floor
- Vacuum (so that first thing tomorrow morning I can shampoo the carpets throughout)
- Mop (so that the dirt from those floors doesn't get trekked onto the newly shampooed carpet)
- Get kids to bed

So today -

- Sort and wash clothes
- Hang clothes
- Collect sheets and towels from line, fold and put away
- Wash X's curtains, hand them and hope they dry before tonight
- Pull as much furniture out of the kids rooms to clean the carpet
- Clean carpets in kid's rooms
- Clean reading chairs in kids' rooms
- Get kids washing their furniture, doors and window/door architraves
- Clean windows in kids' rooms
- Rehang X's curtains
- Try to figure out how to clean J's blind (it's a cloth roman blind - any ideas?)

Kylie

Did nothing today I feel so ashamed. We had a swimming party and I was so exhausted after that.
Tomorrow doesn't look much better I have to go to my mom's and mow grass. That totally zaps me.

Right, in a fit of organisation, I'm putting my list up the night before - do I get any brownie points?

Tomorrow is going to be a shock to the system. I've got work 8.30-5, then I'm tutoring 6-7, then I have a workout class 8.30-9.30. I am going to be so tired! I'm still on holiday mode mentally. However, here are my seven tasks to do :

To do, Monday 1st September:
Write and send thank you notes for this weekends events
Do a load of laundry (darks)
Ironing
Prep stuff for further tutor sessions
Clean kitchen, do dishes
Find an engagement card for my little sister (and research gifts!)
Empty bins

And after all that, I will sleep like a baby!

Bwahahahaha! This list was WAY to optimistic for the first day back at school....

Hence why Tuesday's list contains a few 'recycles'!

Today's tasks:

* Do a load of laundry (darks)
* Ironing
* Clean kitchen, do dishes (does this chore ever stop?)
* Tidy the chair o' doom (I've now been trying to do this for a week! )
* Buy groceries

Have a great day, all!
