LOLOLOL!!!!!!! Right now, it's out of necessity that I do this....but, one day (Lord willing - sooner than later), I'll be much more free to go off and do things without being tied down to work.

I'm so jealous because I'm such a procrastinator. I've got tonnes of things I could do around the house (actually, should do is more like it), but I always leave it for tomorrow. Then I see the lists that you guys have done, and I'm thinking, wow, I really know how to waste time, lol.

I'm hoping that you guys are contagiuos

LOL!! I'm just catching up on stuff I should've done weeks ago!! It's gotten to the point that I can't take it any longer.

Oh, and my instructor gave us the day off tomorrow, so I can do whatever I want. WooHoo!!!!!!!!

I like this thread. Just FYI.

Any particular reason? Actually, I was inspired by your post in the chat thread the other day. I thought "wow, what a woman!" I need to get off my lazy behind and get some work done!

How are you feeling this evening?

I like it because I can come in here and put what I'm doing and it feels like someone cares. I like it because I can see a little glimpse of the real lives of my friends here.

It's just cool.

As far as how I am feeling...I didn't get on last night later because the kids have found a new online game they can all play together...my three girls here on various computers and my son at college. So I visited with my mom and then I signed in to yahoo on the stupidphone and chatted with AngelInWaiting and my son (he can multitask a little, lol).

I was feeling a little better, though still discouraged. GP1 and I are on a quest to figure out how God wants us to think when things are hard and seem to keep getting harder--rather than just think that God is being mean, which is what we do right now. We know He loves us and is working in our lives, so we're trying to figure out how not to be mad at Him when yet another part of our lives does not work out in spite of our best efforts to follow Him.

Thanks for asking!

shallbe

No offence, I'm just not into Christian rock...Casting Crown is probably the only Christian CD I own. I have a lot of Keith Green from the cassette era.

I'm afraid I'm right there with you. Something about most Christian rock seems too forced and ingenuine ... just trying to fill a niche (which is noble - but it just doesn't do it for me).

I find that secular music can take on a whole new meaning when you sing it to God :) (of course there are some exceptions that just aren't worth listening to at all).

I have been invited to a Labor Day Barbeque.
All of my friends will be there and they are all married. I am so happy that they still invite me and I love to spend time with my friends, but it is really hard for me when it is all the couples together. One other single person there would be nice.
My kids will be seeing their friends though, that makes it worth it.

I'm leaving work now and going home for a nap! After that, I have more spreadsheets to work on tonight - for about 5-6 hours.......and then it's a normal work week for me......so.......until later!

Actually, I like this song too and listen to mostly main stream rock myself, but pay more attention to lyrics now and won't listen to anything that is blatantly bad in some way. Although, I do force myself to listen to Christian music on occasion to see if anything appeals to me.

Next time you're riding downhill listen to Fuel.. I don't recommend it on the freeway though...

Okay, so I just woke from a wonderful NAP after being at work for a few hours.....now I'm getting ready to go to bible study tonight (I think we're having it). If we don't, then I've got errands to run and stuff like that. It's just nice to have an evening off!

I just came back from a few miles run, so I have the rest of the night to relax, and maybe play another game of scrabble with my daughter, plus do some studying, and get her ready for first day of school tomorrow. It's raining here, which is kinda nice because I'm not tempted to go outside.

Aww, Prairiehiker....that sounds like a nice way to spend the rest of the day. I do love rainy days. But I also enjoy sunny days....which we are having here the last few days and it's been beautiful.

Tonight I am just going to relax a bit. I had company (Joy and her friend K) all weekend and had a blast. Last night we went and had dinner at a restaurant that had a balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. Beautiful!!! And we had to cutest waiter who was quite the flirt! He even had his picture taken with us....and he asked me to sign his menu...I know...weird...but fun. So....after a weekend filled with fun I'm just going to relax and get prepared to go back to the work world tomorrow.

I wish it was rain here that kept us from going outside - but I'm afraid right now it is just the heat! Especially since I still feel like I'm in recovery mode from the migraine - heat + sun = good combo for a headache!

So I'm staying in and watching a movie with all the deleted scenes turned on.

Sounds like a fun guy. Did you get his number??

Well, I didn't get everything done today that I wanted to, but I did get one big project done. I have a recipe for brownies that doesn't use sugar or flour, so tonight I'm going to make that for dessert then sit down and actually watch a movie all the way through.

I guess I need to spend more then 30sec looking for similar threads... Just got back from the store and noticed my thread got shot down.

Oh well, I did score some great fresh and still warm french bread to go with my meal... and a little Vino to make it go down well.

Cooking dinner, chatting with friends, maybe a little tv.

Michelle, care to share your brownie recipe with me?

Yeah, you need to look at more than the standard 30 day default for active threads. Take it out to about 180 days.

Sure, but let me try it in the test kitchen first. If it's fabulous, I'll post it.

Ok, thanks for the tip. I'll do that next time.

Is there a timer on how many posts you make in a certain period of time? I'm waiting to post this reply... <twiddling thumbs>
