I don't wanna argue, but you both amaze me, and isn't that the definition of amazing? I finally heard from Jody tonight. He's on a train headed this way, but sans Brandon (legal issues not under his control). He will hopefully be visiting Nate for a couple days and maybe even making a short road trip with him. Brandon is doing well and has found a good CAP squadron to join already.

Well, all I know is you do twice as much with half the complaining as I do. At least twice as much.

Well we embark today on our big move, we are moving 1 mile from my job, we currently live a 70mile roundtrip from my office...it is going to be an insane week or two...especially with homeschooling, and also with the craziness of moving, and the fact that our boys require lots of structure and have never experienced a good stable move in their whole lives... sooo let the games begin

Wow, good luck with your move! I pray your transition is smooth! I am so relieved! I called this morning and found out that the dentist appts. were cancelled. Turned out it was someone who was there helping that called to confirm them. Now, I will have more breathing space in our busy day today. This morning isn't busy, but this afternoon will be. It sounds like my Dh wants to make my morning busy by having me visit people with him, but I told him that we have school. Noah slept until 5:50 this morning... he did wake up last night but went right back to sleep. It's funny, even though I am getting more rest, I really don't feel as rested as I thought I would! Maybe it is time for him to move to his own bed:)....

I give my kids a pretest on Monday and if they know the word they don't have to practice it. Well, he was writing it and said "oops, I put a b instead of a d" He's 3rd grade and last year was still mixing them up

When my kids were in kindergarten, we used "Sing, Spell, Read and Write" and one of the best things we got out of it was the way they tackled the "b" and "d" thing. I know that it is a hard concept for lots of kids to grasp, and it really seemed to help mine. Another hot day here. I am trying to get the landscaping finished. I just spread 2 bags of mulch and am soaked! ick! Guess I will need to set up task lights and work at midnight! LOL

ds4 still mixes up b/d and p/q. He's in 4th grade this year. A big part of it is language has never been important to him. Finally, this year he is enjoying reading!

Mel- Praying for you, your honey, and the boys during the move. I feel your pain. We are doing a HUGE transition right now too. My honey is being deployed for the first time in 20 years. We are about to embark on 12 months of me flying semi-solo. I am the boundary stabilizer, the law keeper... he is the big teddy bear. It is hard to be the snuggle daddy when you are half a world away. I am certain the kids are going to miss his touch while he is gone. We won't even talk about me missing his touch. ~e

Jen--probably for the same reason I'm still sitting here at the computer. I have a raging headache and just don't feel like doing anything. Alas, laundry awaits... At least school is almost done for the day.

RE: being a semi-solo vet- the longest Honey has been gone since we became a family of 8 is about 8 weeks. prior to that it was 3 months. We did Alaska and he was home a total of 9 months out of 36 but those trips were broken up and here and there. I wanna say I have received the Levity supplement and have been taking it for about a week now- no huge difference that I can tell but I am keeping on keeping on as i know it can take a while. Even with meds they say take it for 6-8 weeks to see improvement so. BUT I wanted to say that they nailed one thing. When you open the bottle the wonderful scent of Vanilla wafts out and hits ya in the nose. Not like the "normal" mega dose vitamin B you get off the shelf. I look forward to openeing the bottle because it smells nice. ~e

Huh. I had never noticed that! LOL. But I just opened my bottle and sniffed, and you are correct. Christina (mrs. x) blogged about Levity (and me, lol) and she could tell the difference after 2 weeks. I take 3 or 4 I think and a couple weeks after I quit taking it to realize what went wrong!

Noah is being a big clingy baby today. I put him in the baby carrier, it was the only way to get anything done. Now he fell asleep on my back and I've never removed him from my back while sleeping yet. School is almost done here for the day ~ Praise God! I was nauseated earlier, I sure hope I'm not coming down with something. 2 children have bad colds and I am praying that Noah doesn't come down with anything since he has laser on the 15th. They won't do it if he has a cold. I really don't want to skip another treatment. I better go get busy with things... Ez.... I'm so sorry you have to go through this transition, just take one day at a time.

I don't know what kind of baby carrier it is, but I always just lay down on the bed and then snuck out of the carrier, leaving the baby in it.

Ez, we are all praying for ya. I know it's gonna be tough. If Jerry wouldn't mind, could my kids write him and send him stuff? They know about the war but they don't actually know anyone who's over there, so this would make it a little more real if you KWIM. Mel, even good moves are a pain in the patootie so we will pray for you too. Jen, I have no idea either. I don't even know what I said. Ash and Erin are working today so they will have a little cash, which will make them happy. We have been very short on cash this past week what with having to rent and then buy a car, and I know my kids don't mean to be demanding but it seems like every other minute someone is saying, "Mom, we need ___!" I know. There's just not a blinkin' thing I can do about it till Friday. I'm sorry we're out of whatever you prefer to eat but there is food in the house and you are not gonna starve, and it doesn't help me to hear that we're out of cereal when I'm trying to calculate whether or not I have enough gas to get through till Friday.
