jbow -> Is it a sin to wish Geraldo would fall in the water in NOLA... (9/1/2008 1:54:34 PM)

This guy is just crazy to see something bad happen in the hurricane... earlier today he saw someone in the water he used profanity, He "took the Lord's name in vain, saying... _____ it , there is someone in the water. The guy in the water was a Corp of Engineers man, he was tethered to a Corp boat and was doing smoe work in the water. He finished his work and they pulled him back to the boat, then the tank he was working on... Fox then reported it as an on-air rescue.

Next time I turned it on Geraldo was on the NOLA side of the levee and getting up on the levee... (actually I am surprised that he didn't fall in accidentally on purpose.

I dunno I just get the idea that the media in general is really wanting the levee to break... and Geraldo in particular is so sensational about it. Ohhhh, the drama!

Oh, I just think that if we leave him alone; he will choke on his own arrogance and self-worth.

Every time he starts doing all the self-promotion; I just remember the empty safe that he opened on national TV.

Or I remeber the Skinhead that cleaned Geraldo's plow and broke Geraldo's nose.

Thanks
RC

Now wouldn't that be news if he was whisked away by the hurricane.

Jhud -> RE: Is it a sin to wish Geraldo would fall in the water in NOLA... (9/1/2008 4:03:31 PM)

Yeah, I heard him say something today about the Reservists he 'served with' in Iraq - I nearly jumped out of my seat - they served, he reported (and hardly that).

The man is an utter nincompoop.

I guess he and Hilliary made the same trip and they were both ducking the sniper fire.

and I would hope the water would contain a school of sharks

Geraldo would probably scare away the sharks

Well, I don't necessarily wish him or any of the other reporters ill will. But, if they get blown down the coast or over the side of a railing etc.. I really don't feel sorry for them. Afterall many of them seem to attempt to make it out to be uch worse than it is. And afterall they are satnding in the middle of hurricane winds, what do they expect if they get it.
Kinda like losing your hand while feeding sharks,or getting mauled by a lion while getting it to jump through a hoop. I mean really.

Geraldo is certainly "over the top," isn't he? I don't wish him ill, but I do get pretty tired of his theatrics!

During Katrina i was 40 miles from new orleans and we were watching TV on generator power. I was watching two brodcasts, one local one from Geraldo. On the Geraldo he was talking about how noone had brought supplies to the Convention Center, on the local i was watching them fly in water and food by helicopter. While Geraldo was talking i could see the helicopters lifting off behind his shoulder. Anything for ratings.

No, it's not a sin.

Matthew 5:21-22: "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell."

It is just hyperbole!

How about snakes and alligators? They are usually pretty stirred up after a storm. He would shriek like a girl. [:D]

Well, my heart goes out to the entire support team whose job it is to capture this totally hipped reporter out to report on the storm of his or her life. There she or he is, talking away and clapping the hat back on every three or four seconds. Maybe just some gale force winds that would pick up a body and move it a couple feet and then land it on its backside? Is that asking too much? Also, where's the fun loving comraderie? How about some buckets of water thrown on the reporter after he's exhausted everyone's patience? How about a little lens cloth moistened with something that smears up the camera lens instead of polishing the camera visible again? The sensationalism of people staying with their homes when an order to evacuate takes place. Look at all the people leaving town. Look at all the news crews storming in to town to capture the destruction moment by moment. Please. How does this make more award-winning ratings?

It allows the populace to see the TRUTH! [sm=Llol.gif]

Once upon a time, I was a news photographer and I got sent to shoot a story with a reporter who was about as full of himself as Geraldo. We were done with everything but his standup and he couldn't decide how he sounded "best." He said the same line over and over and finally I just left the camera running and went and got in the car. He still stood out there 20 minutes by himself. [8|]

I am glad to see Geraldo working, again.

Yes, another thing for which we can thank FOXRepublican News.

rcjames -> RE: Is it a sin to wish Geraldo would fall in the water in NOLA... (9/3/2008 12:16:24 PM)

The whole thing was sad; all the new outlets were so hoping and trying to make a repeat of Katrine.

The part that upset me the most was not the initial Geraldo reaction; I mean we all know that he is a loon.

But the repeanted showing of the clip and calling it a "Rescue".

The guy is the water was just doing his job, he had a life preserver, a saftey road, a communications device; dear Lord there was not a story so I do not see the reason for the insentance that there was.

That same evening I tuned into Greta hoping to hear the latest on the missing child in Florida, and she was wild eyed over non-events in NOLA.

I lost some respect for FNN that day; as they seemed more like CNN or MSNBC in trying to make news instead of reporting "News".

Thanks
RC

Geraldo is one man that satan uses to stir up very hateful thoughts for me. So, I'm trying to pray before thinking the moment I even see him. His coverage of Katrina just about did me in.

ManimalX -> RE: Is it a sin to wish Geraldo would fall in the water in NOLA... (9/4/2008 3:29:41 AM)

To answer the OP: No, it is not a sin to wish Geraldo would fall into the water.

Everybody knows that Geraldo's mustache acts as an emergency flotation device. If he would have been on the Titanic, many women and children would have been saved. [sm=hammerhead.gif]

I remember those and do you remember the time he was in Iraq and drew a diagram in the sand to show where some of our troops were? I guess he didn't think the enemy watches TV.
