It's not a conspiracy, Jack. It's a fact that Palin's experience has several gaping holes in it related to the world outside Alaska.

So it's obvious that McCain's folks are reserved about sending Palin off to meet the media until she is fully prepared to do so.

Tell me, do you think if Mike Wallace asked Palin today for her take on current inter-tribal strife in Pakistan, and its relationship to tensions between it and the Kashmir region bordering India that she'd be prepared to give a detailed opinion?

I'm not saying that Palin is stupid, just that she's got a learning curve on world events to tackle that's roughly the size of Mt. Fuji, and very little time to absorb it.

Keep talking her down Todd, she will keep exceeding expectations and blowing all the talk out of the water.

You are right though - I don't think she could do a windy dissertation on tribal strife on the border region between India and Pakistan, and I am sure Obama could - which is why when she is VP and needs to bone up on the issue, she should take Obama out to lunch and let him wax eloquent until she tires of the lecture. Perhaps by that time Obama will have retired to his true calling, a lengthy professorship at some exclusive East coast college.

How am I talking Palin down? What in any of the above statement I just made is inaccurate?

God, I hope so - considering the current Pakistani prime minister was just shot at by militants this week, and they have nuclear weapons which not so long ago Pakistan threatened to lob at India.

What if Palin doesn't have the luxury of time to do so?

By McCain's own standards, he said he wanted a VP who could take over on Day One if need be - that said, Palin should be ready to assume the role of POTUS on Day One, not Day 461.

Listen, I know you're all for McCain/Palin, and God bless you for it. I mean that.

I also think it's great that we have an election year featuring candidates who are attracting so much public interest.

However, I can't stress enough my profound concerns over McCain's age plus a VP who does not nearly have the chops to assume the role of POTUS in a pinch.

Heck, even Peggy Noonan agrees with me (see link below) when she called Palin's nomination "political BS" while on a hot mike she thought was switched off, and she's an old Reagan speechwriter and one of the old man's biggest fans.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080903/pl_politico/20576

Noonan later "clarified" her comment about Palin only when she learned it had been been picked up. Do you think she would have bothered to do so had that not occurred?

Yes, Obama having a working knowledge of constitutional law is so lame. Too bad Bush and Cheney never bothered to read it at all.

And how is having Obama in office going to change this? It's been going on for decades.

And I can't express enough my profound concerns over a President Obama who has no foreign policy experience, and has vacillated continually about what foreign policy views he has.

Maybe he can use his brief professorship experience to teach the Pakistani rebels to appreciate constitutional freedoms.

More reasons why we should get the education unions out of the schools, and start holding teachers responsible for what and how they teach. If Americans cant, as you say, find Alaska on a map, then that is proof that the liberal way of educating children today and for the last 40+ years is flawed to say the least.

BTW I know where Alaska is as well as all other 57...err...50 states in the union are as well...lol...Maybe Sen Obama needed better teachers in his schools as well.

Didn't it dawn on you that this story, with all it's detail, was on the wire within ONE HOUR of her speech? That's pretty fast 'fact checking' isn't it?

One hour. And, look how detailed his facts are constructed. This means that he loaded his guns well prior to her speech and was able to pick and choose how he was going to counter what was said no matter what was brought up. It was a setup.

Perhaps you have heard of "the internet"? And are you disputing the accuracy of the analysis? You seem to just be saying, "too fast!" well, shouldn't lies be stamped out as soon as possible? I'd say this is a commendable job.

They are not arrested. They are remanded to a psych ward for evaluation.
