ORIGINAL: ayani I think he clearly has some qualities you want in a leader: He's inspirational. He's good at getting people to act. He has integrity and honesty. He can win a long underdog fight against a tough opponent. He's deliberate, and consults the opinions of others, including opposing viewpoints. Now, those aren't the only qualities a leader needs, but they are valuable. Yup. All that exactly. And while I think he says "um" too much--it doesn't sound bad, but it looks silly on rote transcripts--it's extremely refreshing that he actually considers questions and answers them, as opposed to parrying the question aside and injecting a talking point. McCain used to do that, but as late he's reverted to standard politician-speak and standard politician-tactics. I think he'd love to go off message, but his handlers recognize how incredibly self-destructive McCain's unleashed rhetoric could be.
