As well they should be.

But the topic here is her church - any actual controversial quotes yet?

Here we go...Assemblies of God is already controversial to some other individuals and may be whole denominations ..now it will be analyze from those outside of faith (maybe) with their many political agendas. I guess it is call the "fair" games of politics, being played on again and again. I suppose those who enter politics must be ready to go through much of that..

I sure dont agree with all AG's there are around but do tender reggard the Traditional Assemblies of God, that does not embrace many "new" and neopentecostal doctrines and ordain women pastors. Still, I do know when an AG goes way of heresies and etc the AG headquarters will not allow it to be called "AG" and I do know that because I saw AG churches going to the process of not being AG anymore.

The Huffington Post...

Sorry I'm not buying that the OP didn't know anything about that particular source...

Now Raivyne I don't know you and take offense to this type of comment. Essentially you are calling me a liar and you had better be prepared to defend that accussation before Christ.

Well if I offended you, I apologize.

I found it difficult to comprehend that anyone interested in politics never heard of The Huffington Post. I pay little attention to radio and TV, in fact I don't even have TV service these days, and I still manage to hear about it at least once a week.

Nevertheless, my humble apologies to you.

I've never heard of the Huffington Post either, but then I'm not really into politics any more than I have to be.

All anyone really needs to know about the Huffington post is that Bill Maher is a regular contributor.

The left is just mad because their candidate has horrible judgment in choosing personal associations, while the Republican ticket doesn't have to hide from theirs.

Wrong. Obama did not have horrible judgment in choosing that church. He choose it well in order to further his political career, just as in all his associations. Period.

From what I know James Cones Black Liberation Theology and the theology of the AG or Penecostals are worlds apart.

BLT is not considered orthodox Christanity

AG and Penecostal is.

So to answer this thread. No Palin's Chruch and their theology is not crazy or really controversial within the Christian community. Obama's definately is.

Why would anything be controversial from a right winger to rightwingers here on CW.

Then please tell us what's controversial to YOU that her pastor has ever said?

I believe both she and the OP who created this thread have decided to leave this folder. It appears that when we ask questions and seek to know the truth it gets people upset.

It's page three, and our intrepid cryptozoologists still await the appearance of that mythical and elusive creature, the 'controversial quote'.

Scientists dismiss it's existence out of hand, but true believers hope that it will soon make it's appearance and prove that it is more than a myth.

There were two controversial quotes in the article linked from the OP - did you read it?

I read a rather ominously written article that acted as if talking about Jesus return was some big conspiracy, but I failed to see why those quotes were controversial - care to enlighten us?

Ok, I accept. I'm sorry if I overreacted too. I was just initially mad that I was accused of someone trying to set people up with some bad source. Not true at all as I wrote earlier. ...I got a bit too upset and overreacted.

It's ok. We are God's children and eerything is ok now. I don't think I'll write much here, because I still have other issues (not related to this post), but I am ok with you now.

Thank you :)

politics can elicit very emotional statements, or can cause you to say something that is interpreted a way you didn't intend. After the election of 2006 i took a year long break from politics... I had to! LOL
